He got away with a lot in the second half, constantly dropping about 5 yards deeper than the rest of the defence..

I doubt they would next season with Spinazzola coming back. They needed him to weather this season only. With Spinazzola coming back as starter, they have enough back up. They would likely focus their resource to upgrade their starting XI to go for CL qualification next season.

Never a fan of Telles. Just as I thought, he's not physical fit to be useful in PL. Terrible scatter gun approach in recruitment.
 
The reason I don't really complain about Shaw at the moment is because Telles is worse than him.

Even if we have to pay them 10 million to take him it's still worth it. I've actually never seen a player so out of his depth at the club since Bebe.

Just another list of player that we bought who's nowhere near PL quality and an embodiment of our transfer strategy since SAF
 
Comically bad footballer. Has the athleticism of a small frail child.
 
If we really mean business this summer why not let him go? He's no better than Williams and we'd get our money back I reckon.

I think he's better than some do but not in the Prem. Clearly he physically can't deal with it.
 
Watching him and Dalot defensively with AWB and Shaw waiting in the wings just reinforces how many problems ETH has to fix.

Today he was so woeful it would've looked crap in amateur football.

Yeah, with spinazzola coming back and Zalewsky + Vina that train is gone

On the right with only Karsdrop there is space for Dalot
 
Worst fullback I've seen at United. Appalling defensively, appalling offensively. Takes a decent corner.
 
One of the worst signings ever made. What was the point? Had we even scouted him? As someone above said Brandon Williams is better. Much better.
 
He's dogshit. He doesn't know how to defend and hes shit going forward as well. The only part of his game that's okay is his delivery, when he's standing still.

He's up there with the worst players to ever play for us. It's defensive error after error, only sometimes they don't lead to goals.

Please get rid and buy a left back. How this guy is at Manchester United and not Dominos is beyond me.
 
I am nervous whenever we get attacked on the left side when he is on the pitch. There are glimpses when he shows that he is a decent footballer, but overall far from the standard needed here.
 
Rather give any youngster a chance then see him play again in the remaining games. Just woeful display.

Can Ethan Laird play at left back?
 
I thought this guy was actually good at Porto? Does not have the required athleticism to play in the PL it seems he’s so slow for a fullback.

You just think he’ll get exposed all the time when the balls over that left hand side.

I hope ten haag can get Shaw back to that 20/21 season level.
 
He's a nothing player, isn't he. Doesn't defend well and doesn't attack well.

I saw something where someone said he basically just roams the middle of the pitch. He doesn't overlap and he's never in position to defend a cross or a run into the box.

His one trick is getting the ball deep on the left side and crossing it. Absolutely pointless and needs selling.

I first compared him with marcos alonso. I really wonder how many players you can get rid of in one window.

At least with Williams you know matches against Liverpool and City he will get stuck in.

He may not have the best of abilities, his attitude is there though, which you can't really say about Telles.
 
Telles is a bit of a mystery. He's shown fantastic crossing ability but he's tailed off in recent months, both in attack and in defense. But has he been worse than Shaw this season? I don't think so.

He is a liability in defence and his attacking gameplay isn't any better. He's such a mediocre player overall. He shits in his pants as soon as someone tries to run at him. The fact that he's starting lb for us shows how far we have fallen as a club.

No matter how bad Shaw is and how much I moan when he is, someone please just remind me how utterly useless this lad is.
 
He's fecking awful... And for some reason has a monopoly on our set pieces despite being bang average at them

Yes, and when Elanga switched to the left side, he managed a bit better in the 2nd, he made few good interceptions in the box. he was bit better 2nd half but not good overall

This. I was sat near the pitch at the half way lind tonight, and watched Mount/James 2v1 him throughout all that first half.

Meanwhile bloody Rashford walked back doing sweet rock all. Once Elanga and Rashford switched they soon stopped firing the balls over in the first half.

Both the manager and Rashford did him dirty. Rangnick should have long switched Elanga in the 1st half when Rashford was strolling.
