He helped a number of times in getting out of their pressing in our opposition half which was especially important as our midfield was non-existent. Good performance considering the limitations of his team mates. Very disappointed by the quality of his corners though. Needs to improve on the delivery if he wants to maintain his reputation as a dead ball specialist. The slope at OT is no excuse when the opposition team is scoring from corners.

He improved as the game went on, but we have yet to see him really impose himself. I think his first appearance (PSG) is still his best.

Players cannot just come in and get into the groove. I thought like Tuanzabe, he got better as the game went on. He certainly can put in a mean corner and a free kick.

Does anyone think he looks like he is running fast/hard but he does not actually move that fast?

Wolves 1:2 Man Utd
Lovely pass in the build up to the first goal and made great interception on Wolves best counter, I hope he's happy to stay on as back-up.

Super pass that Elanga wasted early on. Involved in the build-up to Elanga's goal. A decent cross that was well defended in the first half. Shot over from the edge of the box after Williams' big chance was saved. Some good defending in the 2nd half but also moments when he was unable to prevent Wolves from getting in dangerous crosses from that side. Intercepted the ball leading to Amad's shot that was deflected then saved.

thats the key question.

from our perspective, he’s the perfect squad player. I think he will get 25 games next season - obviously more if Shaw gets injured.

will he be happy with that?

Fortunately, for everyone, Telles was much better today than he has been in recent matches. A confidence restoring outing.

I think so. In any case, there are 5438590 positions that have priority in addressing. Like the whole team, he'd greatly benefit from a pacy centre back alongside Maguire, not to mention a defensively sound midfielder who can pass. He's more of a wing back than a full back. But going forward he's a very good squad option.

I expect a lot more than just only good crosses to the box.

I haven't seen any dribbling, penetrating into the box or even trying to do a double pass with our winger on his side.

For "The best attacking LB in Europe" that I've heard last summer - It isn't good enough, sorry.

No-one said that.

Telles never managed to get a run in the side to show what he could do, due to Shaws excellent form. If he got a run I'm sure we'd be talking about how good a player he is.

I like him. We are lucky to have him such good back up if Shaw misses a few games.

One of the few areas of the pitch we don't need to even think about.
