Alejandro Garnacho (out)

Stand out wingers going to cost utd a lot more money as well, what is the aim for this season? Is utd buying more players? Will those players take time to adjust to the league? Given that utd already struggling to score goals and your going to sell one of attackers? Too many moving parts, if utd going sell garna then it should be in summer and it should more then 50mil imo

I'd only entertain a bid above 80 millions Euro. Just imagine how much we would have to pay for a potentially world class 20 years old from a top league.

Don’t want Garnacho sold. There is work to do with him but he has some key ingredients for a top player. 60m sounds a lot but we would end up paying more for a replacement.

Would really have liked Kvara but if he is willing to take a step down and play in France he is not the player for us.
I think we'd be able to get Quenda for less and he'd suit the system and Amorim a lot more than Garnacho.

Not my first pick to be sold, but if he wants to leave for a new challenge we shouldn't stand in his way.

Don't want to see him leave, it does feel like an eventuality but this feels too soon. I do wonder with the recent issues regarding leaks in the dressing room has made the club/Amorim want to cut ties sooner rather than later. Maybe his character just doesn't fit in with what Amorim wants to build?

Unless we really are in dire straits financially we should keep him. It looks like Rashford is either going or will be frozen out the squad for the rest of the season which would leave us very light up top with Mounts endless injuries and one of a seemingly few posters who rate him on here.

If we have to sell then we shouldn’t sell for less than £70+ in my opinion.

For the right money, sell.

We could buy two better young wingers for the book value we might get in a Garnacho sale.

80m no less. Need that Antony fee back if we sell one of our best younger players.

Whilst I'd be sad to see him go, as I would any young player who burst into the team, I've always felt like there's a lower ceiling than other fans do. In this new system he doesn't have a clear role, which exacerbates the problem. Had we gone for a manager that played a system that got more out of his strengths I'd still have been keen to keep him, but right now I'd be open if there's a good offer.

He likely doesn’t fit into Amorims system or has not been fully committed to his system or is the one leaking team info - or all of them. Potential yes, but not really sure how he will turn out a in a season or 2.
So if it’s a 50mil offer, there should be no second thoughts on the sale.

So his fair value isn’t entirely reported on but his “value” was considered at €97.4m as of 1/01/25. That’s over €20m more than Kvaratshkelia.

Comparable wingers (of similar value):
Savio €118m
Martinelli €101m
Barcola €93m
Madueke €92m
Doku €92m

So they reckon he’s in that bracket of wingers (I’d agree to be fair). So surely we need to look at fees at least around £60m.

If we were buying we’d be quoted 80m plus. They’re just trying their luck as everyone knows we’re broke.

I think Quenda is a must get in the summer.
I would be a lot less upset about losing Garnacho if we got him. Ideal scenario is we get him and keep Garnacho and help him develop into the 10 role.

All this just highlights even more how bad some of the past recruitment has been.

Get rid, he's got no hope in Amroim's system and ability wise he's a squad player.

60 / 50 million would be good business. Kolo-Muani on loan for the left and play Mainoo there use the money Napoli are giving for either a midfielder to partner Ugarte or get a inside forward during the summer, Barcola would even be suitable business.

£60m is decent business I think, even if as many have said already, he'd be far from the top of my Sell list.

I don’t trust we’d replace him and he’s one of the better players we’ve brought through in recent years I’d be gutted if he’s sold to be honest

Could do much worse than selling him for 55-60m and using some of that to replace him with an even younger winger in Quenda

Selling Garnacho, especially for just £50m, would be extremely stupid. If Garnacho had performed at the level he has to this point at another club, we'd be paying £100m+ for him. He's far better regarded across Europe than Hojlund was at the time we signed him. I've no doubt the same fans that want Garnacho sold now will be moaning about him in the future when he becomes a star. Napoli would be a great move for him personally.

As usual people on here think there are far more great young talents in world football than there actually are.

He doesn’t fit in the system.

Yeah loosing him for 50m would be stupid business. Really need to make sure they spend most of what they receive for KK

Good chance Amorim won't even be the manager in a year's time if performances don't improve. Then we've lost important players for no reason. Anyway, Garnacho was great when he came on against Liverpool so clearly he can perform in the role

Oh shut up.
