Alejandro Garnacho (out)

You can't sell Garnacho for that money. That's daft.

I like him, a lot, but he is not irreplaceable. But it isn't a great look.. we retain Antony, Rasmus etc bur sell Garnacho?? If we need to get some people of the wage bill, get rid of Case, Marcus, Antony etc. Loads of deadwood there.
Garnacho is a bigger price to bring in

Actually yeah, they do and can. Or at least Ratcliff and the Glazers can. Who are all billionaires in their own right(and that's even assuming turnover is bad enough they can't risk borrowing against the club's own assets)

Unless PSR stops them
Explain to me how they have the right to inject capital into the club without the glazers approval, that would require further dilution of the Glazers shares. They don’t own the club.

You are worth billions, generate hundreds of millions in revenue and are owned by billionaires. If you have cashflow issues, it's because the owners are cheap bastards leeching off the club. There is no world in which Ineos can't easily fix the cash flow issue. Now if it's an issue of turnover, either you are seriously fecked, PSR is tying Ineos' hands, or they're ridiculously cheap bastards trying to leech off your club

They don't want to fix it because we're just another business to them/him. And to think Ratcliffe made the fans believe he was a fan and United was going to be his legacy. I worry about us building a new stadium.

Blimey, none of us have realised this! You've cracked it.
 not paying attention, what'd they do?

The same Glazers that have been doing just that for a decade

They're clearly overseeing cost cutting measures and planning to develop a stadium district/new stadium with the council's help.I'm sure they just had sporting control.

Do they have autonomy? No.

It all still gets approved by the majority owners, the Glazers…

If it’s been going on weeks I think he could have realised he hasn’t got his true position in Amorims team and is happy to move somewhere so this is quite likely to happen
Random Italian clickbait reporters. Let's stop putting anything into reports from these guys.

If Di Marzio says it then it'd be something worth looking at, or Fabrizio. The rest are click bait.

Why are you comparing him to Yoro?

Garnacho was bought for virtually nothing and has played 100+ games in the first team.

Yoro was bought in for big money and has just joined the club.

I think Garnacho is pretty brainless and one-dimensional. If you disagree then fine, no big deal. Not really looking to have an argument over it. I've said my bit.

Forget about price. both are young players with big potential but you're saying that one should be ready and consistent, but not the other? If yoro was bought for big money and isnt ready and reliable then is he a mistake? Its a completely fair comparison, an almost identical profile of player being held to a different standard.

Price is way too low, we will get £50 million plus add ons I'd say which is fair but he's potentially a really good player. It's a really hard call, I'm glad it's not my responsibility. He could be worth double that within a season or two. If he can get that intensity that he has coming off the bench from the start of games he'd be formidable. Some of his finishes here have been rididcous.

Can't see a player like him leaving Premier for serie A. 20+ years ago it would be an obvious choice since italian clubs were creme de la creme. Nowadays most players prefer to sign for another Premier league club.

You've been running at a loss for years. Who covered those losses?

43M loss over a decade - covered by loans and credit. The really bad losses came with COVID and Rangnick + Ten Hag. Man Utd with CL football is fine.

38m is a perfectly fine starting bid. Probably can get them close to 50m + add ons. Would allow us to get Mendes +1.

Any system that promotes selling your homegrown players is a broken system. The powers that be need to have a long hard think about this PSR and how it can be changed so as to not encourage this.

Bringing players up through the academy is something that should be encouraged by the regulations if anything.

Actually surprised at how high that is.
Not because he's not a good player with potential, but because for a long time we've been absolutely woeful at getting any sort of fee.

It's been a while since a player like Garnacho we actually want to keep was linked with an exit to be fair

If you can't afford to run our club without selling our youth prospects then you shouldn't have bought the club. Sir Jim Glazer was meant to be a fan, but he's selling the soul of the club along side our youth prospects.

Please sell to someone who can afford to run the club properly and don't sell the players were meant to spend the next decade cheering for.

You have no idea what you’re talking about, do you?

I don't mind selling Garnacho, but only for the right price. How much did we pay for Yoro again? That + 20 millions because he is an attacker and on longer contract.

What is this madness?

We're talking about a 20 year old youth academy product who's put in brilliant numbers for his age in a struggling team, has scored exceptional goals, and is always fighting on the pitch. He even looks like he's adapting to that 'inside' role as Amorim calls it. He's got the ability and desire to be great under good mentorship, and we're selling him for peanuts to Napoli? Surely this can't be true.
