Alejandro Garnacho has left Old Trafford on crutches

I can't imagine its that serious given that he continued playing (which in hindsight was probably not a good idea). Out a few games at most imo.
So did Eriksen . I'm not saying will be the same result, just that it doesn't mean he's fine either.

I rather we go and win europa and FA cup

Well yeah obviously but that's not a given. In my eyes something should have been sacrificed in this crazy intense season. We might pay for it too. If we lose at Newcastle it's definitely squeaky bum time.

Unless it’s a dead rubber, losing a game is never a blessing in disguise. That’s just absolutely ridiculous mate. We now have one foot into the quarter finals and have a good chance of winning it

I'm talking about the context of a world cup interrupted season. We are playing too many games with a squad shockingly low on quality.

The tackle is more chance of a injury than the Casimero one, they guys made sure he scissors his legs around both feet on ground there no wriggle room it's a sprained ankle at best then you get the Eriksen one. Impact one can be just that hurts and you can recover from it like the player did, was substituted later on In 2nd looked OK.

The officials need to clamp down more on tackles like that it's a I'll get the ball then wrap my legs around . Hope Garnacho is OK. Not out for long .

Gutting for Garnacho especially — he’d just been called up for the NT. Hopefully it’s nothing major

And not even a booking for the fecker.

These scissor tackles go under the radar but they are often worse than studs up tackles.
I thought scissor tackles were supposed to be a no no. I agree most people get up even after the majority of studs up tackles but scissor tackles are sneaky and far more dangerous.

Gutted if he's out for a extended period of time.

Only positive I can see about it is that hopefully Pellestri will get more minutes.

Pellistri can play left wing too right. Simple choice to be used there if Garnacho needs a lay off.

Unbelievable … EtH needs to take a ban/fine for the team and call this nonsense out. Open season here.

That's a shame. Hope it doesn't keep him out for too long

Basically the rule is, you’re off if there’s a still frame of your studs going into the shin, purely because we’ve seen players break their leg that way. Any other kind of slide tackle is pretty much accepted, even though you’ll see far more knee/ankle injuries that those leg breaks.

If you don't win the ball and scissor it's a red. Happens regularly. Not sure why winning the ball changes that, its still a dangerous tackle, like uno, the same as winning the ball and following through high is given a red because winning the ball doesn't mitigate the danger.

Agree, impact injury apart from the leg breakers from yesteryear, players know they won't get away with those, but get away with the scissors tackle if they get the ball, both tackles on Eriksen and Garnacho went unpunished not even classed as a foul!!! The body of refs etc needs to look at these, read it was a fair tackle ?? He got the ball then takes player out.

The scan has revealed he will miss the international matches, but does not say how long he will be out for?

Not sounding too good.

Potentially the 3rd player who's season has been ended by reckless scissor challenges, none of which even lead to bookings. Yet Casemiro gets a straight red for his foot rolling over a ball and touching someone's shin.

Massive potential loss, which is daft when you consider he's a kid with barely any experience, but he's really offered exactly what we've sorely missed far too often this season.

Heading for the quarter finals of the EL , A home tie to get into the semis of the FA cup and 8 points of 5th place.
right .
I don't know how he gets the motivation to get out of bed in the morning.

What's going on with his new deal? 3 months ago it was down to image rights, now we've not heard anything for a few months and nothing announced.

Saw today he's been called up for the youth WC this summer but United don't want him to go. AFA are trying to get him to go but it looks like he might sit it out.
