He is just 20 years old and he is our leading goal scorer this season.

He works his socks off on the field.

He is one of the most promising talent came from United academy in recent years.

This is the thread to appreciate his talent and contribution to the team at such a young age. This thread is for positivity so take your negative opinions somewhere else.

I love him because he plays with passion, actually cares, and never shies away from wanting the ball or making the run.

Yesterday for example he got into a great position and then fell over, tackled himself off the pitch and got his hand trodden on. There are so many players who would then shrink from the game. Not very many who'd pick up the ball a few minutes later and effortlessly cut inside to curl a worldie into the top corner from 25 yards.

All 20 year old players can be frustrating and all forward players (regarldess of age) can be frustrating. Fans need to try and remember that because not many 20 year old forwards are also good/strong enough to play for United in its curret situation and actually take responsibility to try and improve things.

I think Player Appreciation thread(s) where only positivity is allowed could be a good safe space for United fans and players alike. Could be stickied in the Player Performance Forum.

Why do we need players appreciation thread? Can’t you appreciate them in play performances thread?

He's one of the best young players in the world, without a doubt. He's also just 20 and will be inconsistent. He also pays too much attention to social media and shouldn't idiot fans get under his skin, because he is going to be a top player so he will have critics without a doubt, both on his own side and against him.

He's one of the most talented youngsters we have ever produced. If the criticism hurt him, it's a good sign. Let's use it to go higher and further than ever before.

My favourite current player and has the mentallity I think will help him succeed in getting us back to the top. Clearly loves the club and fights for the badge which is never a bad thing.

Breaking news: United Forum for discussion has both positive and negative comments.

Swear some of you lot would rather have this place turn into RAWK where every negative comment is deleted and nothing but propaganda is trumpeted
Breaking news. It was a joke.

This place is a tidal wave of negativity so you're way off the mark. If anything posters have been called WUMs and trolls for being positive in the last while.
While I won't be posting in these threads, people are entitled to create any threads they like. So if it bothers you just ignore it. Make room for everyone. There's hundreds of threads whining about the club, and the players.

I think constructive criticism is good, though. Especially for a forum where it's about debating with each other.

With that said, I'm not against this either because sometimes people go too far when critiquing our players. You saw that with Garnacho's celebration (and Bruno's comments after the game) where I'm sure it had something to do with that Faz guy who went overboard for some attention.

A thread calling for positivity doesn't mean there is no criticism of the player allowed on the boards.

It's so fecking strange that threads to focus on the positives are met with such opposition.

This place is negative because until the sacking and hiring of Amorim we’ve largely been in our worst stretch as a club in decades (Fa cup aside).

Just like if we start winning titles and leagues it’ll be impossible to find much negative apart from a few outliers here or there. Saying it’s “a tidal wave of negativity” is pretty dramatic and I was merely wondering why we need an appreciation post for every current player as soon as they go through a rough patch. It’s never been a thing until recently (normally been reserved for past players to reflect on their careers).

I said I'm not opposed to it!

Why are people getting so precious about players? Garnacho is young, extremely talented and selfish and his selfishness was overly obvious recently and he got slated for it. He rightly got benched and responded in the best possible way with a great goal. Maybe there are some weird people who actually think he's rubbish - he's clearly not - but we can't be making one of these threads every time a player has a patch of rough form. This will just become the performance thread (but not locked during match day so please can slate/praise him live)

It's not dramatic at all, the abuse of the manager and players is an issue for many posters and the mods. It's discussed regularly. So it may be that some posters react to that with these threads.

If you have any further issues just PM me so we can leave this thread be.

Hasn't he already played over 100 games for the club as well?...kid has a similar engine to Bruno, which can go unnoticed or take for granted.

Love the idea of a thread btw @Tony247

Start your own thread about it. Thanks.

I like most United fans love Our young players Garnaucho, Mainoo, Amad and Rasmus however we as a club and as a fan base have put far too much pressure on these young men.

It’s hard enough dealing with the intense pressure of being a Premier League Player, let alone being a Man United player in a team that’s been frank fully awful for the last 11 years. The Club inability to recruit the right players and characters to set examples and standards are the real issues that now INEOS have to face head on and deal with.

We simply have to take better care of our kids coming through, All of those Four young men should be rotational players as they develop from 18/19 to 23/24 years old where their bodies can take the stress of 45-50 matches per season.

Alejandro should be looking to get 45-50 matches a 20/21 year old with 30 starts and 15/20 appearances from the bench, the same applies with all 4 players. United front Four in the last 2 seasons should have been Bruno, a firing Rashford, an experienced RW like Brian Mbeumo and CF like Danny Wellbeck with those 4 kids being developed with lots of minutes but not at the expense of burning them out.

I’m pretty sure Ruben with only 3/4 slots available for 6/7 players and with the intent to definitely bring in a CF or a RW10 option, all of our young players will all be managed more effectively and we might see Garnaucho really start to develop especially against tiring defenders.

He will be told he’ll start 50% of the games and come from the bench in the other 50% , again don’t be surprised if he’s used like Rashford as the number 9 who darts in and out of lines in the final third. We are going to see Ruben play our players in very different formations.

I really like him. I’d like him to have the chance to really build a connection with Hojlund at CF, and if not him then another first choice 9. He’s a big big talent.

Top young player. Can see him becoming a 20 plus goals a season player in 3-4 seasons.

Sorry. Didn't mean to frame it like you were.
Oh, no probs. If anything, I'm glad Garnacho has one because his reaction after his goal yesterday was sad to see. People like that Faz guy who was obviously just looking for attention are clearly getting to him, and he needs to know they're the minority. Most of us recognise that he's a brilliant talent that's naturally going to struggle at times because he's still developing.

On the plus side, that video of the kid supporting him and Garnacho giving him his shirt and a hug in his performance thread was brilliant.

From day 1 of seeing him in a united shirt i love his spirit. You can coach a lot of things but not bravery. I like how he always come back and have a go no matter how hard he was tackled by the opposition. This is the greatest similarity he has with CR7.
Watching united has been really depressing the last few years. He is one of the few bright spots
