Alas poor Carrick...WTF has happened?

Top. fecking. Drawer.

Sharp as a razor in the first half. 9.85/10 performance from him. Lets see a little more of that on Tuesday night Michael!

It was funny to see Carrick's passing making a mockery of Norwich's attempt to park the bus in first half.

Incredible game for him today, his passing was pin-point. I love his drilled floor-passes that just breaks the opposition midfield as it lands into Rooney/RVP's feet.

Fantastic player indeed. Deserves more credit from non-United fans.

112 out of 119 today. 38 out of 44 in the attacking third. His passing range is sublime.

Magnificent again.

The English Pirlo. Contender for player of the season with RVP, Bale and Suarez.

He have been magnificent with the pinpoint passes through the congested midfield area.

Easy game for Carrick. Norwich were wank and showed no ambition. He had time to pick and choose his passes, which he did with aplo.mb.

His passing is world class at the moment. He's certainly become much more influential from that position this season. It's a bit like having an in-form Scholes back, although different in style of course.

Excellent performance from him today. Carrick's precise passing and well-timed interceptions will be very important to our chances against Real on Tuesday.

Has to be said, Norwich played the game into his hands but despite that he was still outstanding. Good for his confidence going into Tuesday, showed a tremendous range today playing balls into feet, inbetween the lines, over the top, outwide and he even got De Gea into the game when he was obviously bored out of his mind.

I loved how Old Trafford was ringing with his new chant throughout the match. He was phenomenal today.

Madrid will press him allbgame long. Norwich were happy to bunker and let him play the passes.

He's been right up there with your Xavi's and Scholes' for periods of this season.

He is really shocking me. I'd sort of written him off a little a few seasons ago.

Fecking love him. His passing is more Pirlo's type than Scholes: sharp and decisive. Couldn't decide between him, Rooney, and Kagawa for my MotM.

His passing between the lines in first half was some of the best passing I have seen recently, ridiculously good.

The amount of times he cut straight through their midfield was ridiculous

Those passes through midfield were majestic. Coming into his own is our Michael.

Playing some of the best football of his career. Defensively solid, positioning in midfield is almost always perfect. Then there is his passing. Right now he really is relishing hitting those over the top balls to RVP and co. Other than Scholes, not many players can make that pinpoint perfect pass over the top of a defence.

He will be crucial to our success on Tuesday. When he is playing like this we will always have a chance to score goals and win matches. Brilliant.

Did today what all great players do: took the piss against weaker opposition.

He's always a slow starter each season, Ferguson said as much, but he is peaking perfectly for us. He's never been the most popular player, look back at the thread and see how many people have been negative about him in the past. He ain't a Keane or Robson, which many have felt is needed, but he's certainly bossing things around at the moment and giving us a huge strength in midfield.

Best holding midfielder in the world at the moment. Perfectly in time for the CL game.

Sorry about my earlier post. Wrong forum.
