Mods,

It does seem to me that increasingly there's a number of people on this forum that get abusive when views are expressed. For me, this kind of behaviour is taking away the fun of contributing to the board...unfortunately of course the internet does attract all sorts of lunatics but do we really need to stand for it when these people can be banned.... is there any chance of policing this kind of behaviour more?

Cheers

If you could provide an example of what you mean, maybe I could give you a response in that context.

its a football forum, what honestly do you expect? for us to ban every second person? Not going to happen.

Whilst you might not like Park, the way that you have worded it is clearly muppetish so im not surprised that you got the reaction that you did.

sorry - why was it worded muppetish exactly? yes it was worded in an opinionated way.... but does that deserve an abusive response? Perhaps in your uncivilised world yes...

and because this is a football forum does that mean everything has to come down to the lowest common denominator?

as i said, its a football forum so you have to expect the kind of language you'd hear at a match or down the pub

right and if a stranger says feck off to me at a pub or match then id have an issue with that..... and it rarely happens so why should it happen here? it happens here cos people can get away with it....at the end of the day if abusive behaviour is allowed, this forum is giong to disintegrate into a free for all and a coherent intelligent exchange of views just wont happen

Cry baby

In what way exactly is calling a player useless, after about two minutes of the game, an intelligent exchange of view?

Noodlehair, my memory extends back further than the first two minutes of the game..... the guy has been at Man Utd for 1 1/2 seasons for fecks sake....

anyway this forum is supposed to be a community....we're all man utd fans - when i go to a Man Utd match i dont get into arguments with my fellow Man Utd fans... if someone wants to slag off a player he's free to do so.... and people's opinions on this website should be treated with enough repsect that they dont get a feck off back...

You called him "useless as usual" after literally two minutes of the game

If you make stupid comments, why should anyone bother with anything other than stupid responses?

That's funny. People slagging off players is ok, but slagging off posters isn't ok.

What a dim cow.

Shut up if you have nothing sensible to say!

If you enforce that policy strictly to all caf-ites, things might go silent around here for a while...

jules031272 don't know why you're moaning, I've yet to call you a cnut. That puts you in a honourable minority. I can't be much more friendly than that

slagging off is fine mate but i dont consider abuse to be fine.... clearly there's a lack of people on here that agree that saying feck off to someone is not very civilised so ill just give up....

calling "Man Utd" won´t help you either

Possibly, but I wasn't talking of the forums as a whole, rather this place. Why some cretin has to come in here and make a totally useless comment just for the sake of it I really don't know. However, I think that I started the trend unfortunately.

A agree with thread starter...

I've also been abused a number of times in Patrice Evra discusions.

It's time to ban or at least warn people who use bad language to another forum members. I don't care about someone writing something stupid or bad to players or teams but we should respect eachother here and don't call eachother names. FFS, if you can't write anything against Liveprool Fans and Hillsbrough without being banned or warned then it should be forbidden to attack other forum members, especially Manutd supporters...

nice one Nobby....at least there's someone with some common sense out there....unfortunately giggsy PO up there shows the general mentality prevailing here...who gives a flying f*ck whether i call my team man utd, Man Utd, or whatever (apart from you that is obviously).... dear oh dear....

Well, nobody can be the same or think the same but I wonder if there is possabillity for us here to respect eachother?

And as I said before I was warned for writing something nagative about Liverpool FC fans and Hillsbourgh. Why should that be worse then someone calling another memeber for c*nt, d*ckhead and so on? It makes no sence whatsoever.

Are we to say we must not say anything offensive?

The outcome of that route is no talk at all.

I think it's quite evident that jules has had a sleepless night over someone on an internet forum tell him him to feck off. Tbh, if you're really against abuse you shouldn't have called Small Paul a knob in retaliation.

Come on!

There is a difference between glorifying a tragedy and a simple f*** o**.
