In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) and Imran (@Annihilate Now!) are here to discuss three 1-1 draws.
The first got us knocked out of the FA Cup, the next puts us in a good position in our Round of 16 Europa League game, and the latest was an actual decent performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
All hopes for the season now rest on the Europa League - does Amorim have the squad to win it?

But yeah, Will, what are you talking about? We're the best club in the country for producing talent, it's proven.. coming through our system gets more players into the top leagues than any other team in the UK. I believe we are joint third with Real Madrid, behind Atletico and Barcelona?
Going on loan may not be what he thinks is best, but it's worked successfully for both Welbeck, Evans and Cleverley in recent years. I'd like him to stay, and play lots of minutes - but it's not my job on the line, so I imagine he's far more likely to get minutes on loan than at United. More minutes is most likely the best place for him, even if not the best place for us (short term)
We just need to be careful who we loan him out to, ensure he's going to a club who will give him lots of opportunities, and ensure we have a clause to bring him back if needed.
There are at least 2 players ahead of him in each of the 3 attacking positions behind Van Persie. Then you have Giggs, plus Hernández if Moyes wants to play 2 up front. Cannot see Januzaj getting much game time if everyone is fit this season. I think a loan spell at the right club would be best.
Nothing is set in stone. If our wide players perform like last season and adnan is on fire I don't see why he can't get a look in. We might think a loan is better for his development but anything can happen if he stays
If Januzaj is given a cup game or two and he impresses he has every chance of forcing his way into the team. I personally believe that he could do that here this season.
Will Absolute 
He's earnt a chance from the bench and I'm sure he'll be given it against the right team at Old Trafford. If he takes his chance then he will likely find more chances from the bench. It just means playing games in the u21s to keep ticking over. If, however, he'd prefer a loan, then it seems we'll give him that.
I think he could be very useful in home games where teams sit deep. In fact I hope we use him because he's a bit different from everyone else we have in attack. He seems to thrive in tight spaces.
I've always got the feeling Will Absolute doesn't really get football. Like talking about it with Boris Johnson or something.

Okay. The Caf's memory isn't long, and I'm sure it's largely been forgotten by now, but for those of you who can remember as far back as yesterday, I'd like to acknowledge that my post on the Januzaj 5 year deal offer was indeed crap.

I'd just read an account of a Mail article which said that we were finalizing a new 5 year contract offer to Januzaj, with a season long loan to the Championship as part of the package. And I thought, "From what Januzaj's said in the past, he won't be happy with that."
I had that article in mind when I posted. But the article wasn't quoted in the thread, and things got confused. I would up sounding as if I thought Januzaj wouldn't or shouldn't sign a new deal with us at all. Whereas I believe he wants to and will sign if we make him a good offer. Just no championship loans!

Him + Henriquez should get a loan to teams that arent so good in the league.

It seems we do not wish to get rid of anyone this summer, but I'd gladly see Young out the door and him replaced with Adnan.
Yeah, it's not nice to hope for a player to leave but I think with Young we've got a lot of attacking players and of the senior ones he's the most disposable. Young out and Zaha and Januzaj sharing his time would be great. With Nani still nor sorted I can see him being the one to leave though which will be a big loss for me.
I don't think he actually has to leave. But I'd like to see Moyes show some balls and just play Januzaj ahead of him.
What reason would we need him to stay if Adnan is ahead of him? In case 7 players get injured? He's pointless, unlikely to improve from here on, and always injured anyway.
What we need is some 'ambitious' promoted club to come in and bid £8-10m for him. I reckon we'd take that immediately. Villa should put a bit in.
Oh, none, but I don't see him going anywhere regardless of how mediocre he is, so I'm clutching at straws. Sometimes there seems to be a vicious circle where because a player is here and senior, they play ahead of a brilliant youngster like Januzaj. And then because they played, the manager thinks that they're worth keeping... etc etc ad nauseam. So possibly before we see Young offloaded, we'd have to see Januzaj playing ahead of him.
Obviously also Young's price-tag will make us reluctant to sell. No club likes to admit defeat on someone who cost so much.

I actually still think that Young has the potential to make an impact for us. He had a bad year, but the season before last he was being touted as our best winger. His vision, work rate and finishing during the 12/13 campaign were outstanding, remember how he slaughtered Arsenal's defence during the 8-2 match? At 28 though, he really should be in his prime, I hope we hang on to him for another year. Januzaj has quality but you just can't predict how a player will develop, I don't think he's a guaranteed replacement for Young, we need to see more of him yet.

The only quote I could find from here was Cina saying he's our best left winger, but I remember a meltdown among pundits on SSN after the Arsenal match, and one particular muppet talking to Alan Green on the R5 phone-in about how Young is "better than Ronaldo"

Well if people really were saying stuff like that it's obviously just knee-jerk, with little bearing on reality. He had a brilliant game in that Arsenal match - everyone did - so it's natural that people might overreact. But one match is not a good basis for expecting more from him.

LOL Young is clearly better than championship level. He certainly has the talent to be a decent squad player here, but he will never take the world by storm.
He needs a clean run of health though and needs games - his numberous injuries are destroying what should be the best part of his career.

It's a tricky situation with Januzaj, Powell and Henriquez. Those are 3 potential first team players if things go right. I certainly hope Moyes can handle it right way and they end up having a long successful career with us.

Yep, his shooting boots weren't on after the penalty but otherwise it was another great performance.
He really is stronger on the ball than you'd think.
I don't think he was as great as he's been. He had many good moments of course, but not great by his own standards.

He shields the ball very well. I agree, he wasn't brilliant second half and he does need to work on his finishing but good enough for games I think.
He looked like he was told at half time that they wanted to see some goals from him, he was shooting in positions where he would normally pass and insisted on taking the penalty when he is probably 3rd or 4th choice penalty taker

He was still obviously a class above almost everyone else on the pitch, though. It wasn't as good a game as he had against Liverpool, but as jb8521 says in the second half he seemed to have been told to go for goal and I don't think that helped him much.
Plus not every player on the pitch can be the one running the game. Normally it's Januzaj, but against West Brom it was Lingard who really took it by the scruff of the neck, so Januzaj didn't need to force himself into things as much.
I'd say he already is.
Always better when you have more than one player running the game though it lets you get control of the game quicker in different areas of the pitch.
He's already better than Ronaldo ever was imo.
