Adama Traore

He's great, they play everything through him and there's never any worry he's going to do anything useful with the ball.

His end product is possibly worse than our strikers. He is very difficult to get the ball off of but that is about it.

Too much babyoil. Looks like an absolute unit, but everything slides off him, including any footballing talent.

Final action of the game summed him up. Ball needed to go into the box and when it came to him to do it I relaxed entirely. Absolute unit, rapid and must be horrible to defend against 1 Vs 1 but does absolutely nothing of note with any advantages these things give him.

He should focus on not overhitting every single cross he gets as he has done for the last however many years he's been playing, instead of holding grudges.

He's actually improved from what he was at Wolves. Absolutely useless in end product but for me very marginally better than Antony.

He's such a weird player, he's one of the quickest and strongest around, and he actually has great close control and feints on his dribbling, he's not just a kick and run merchant. Every time he plays us he goes on a run dribbling past 3 or 4 of our players like they aren't there, it is pretty annoying. How many players have the ability to run through half the opposition team? With that sort of talent, he should be one of the best players around. But he never scores or assists a goal. Such a waste really.

Imagine have that speed and that physique and still being shit? I have no idea how its possible.

It is really weird, he is extremely skillful when he wants to but never seems to be able to combine his exceptional attributes to do anything useful.

He’s an absolute enigma. The lad hasn’t cracked on at all his entire career. He is exactly the same player as when he first came on the scene.

On the ball he’s one of the strongest in the league, one of the fastest in the league and one of the best dribblers.

He just simply can’t pass, cross, shoot, dribble into effective areas, and lacks any sort of positional nous or footballing brain.

Still boggles the mind the way some pundits go on about him, as if he’s meant to strike fear. You could not mark him, or even press him, and you can be sure he’d run the ball out of play, launch a cross into touch or spoof a long range effort over.

I think that was one of their center backs. But yeah, it was hilariously bad.

Yep. He's fantastic when the ball is at his feet. But the instant it comes to leaving his foot (whether it's a shot, a pass or a cross) he just gets it wrong almost every time. Perhaps he should just attempt to dribble the ball into the net every time he gets it.

There was a season a while ago where it looked like he might be putting it together and his decision making and crosses were getting better. But it seems that season was a one-off.

Him putting his shirt on at the side of the pitch is the only time I've ever seen my girlfriend start to get interested in football...

Should have focused on improving his stamina and converted into a wingback years ago. He has world class ability to progress the ball, which would be particularly useful from deeper positions, particularly against the press, and his pace would make him a fantastic last defender to cover the line in behind, like Walker was for City

Yeah. Said as much in the match day thread last night. But I also seem to recall wolves trying him out at RWB after they sold Doherty? Unless I’m misremembering but I seem to recall him being equally useless there too.

I do like the animosity between the pair...Licha went in 2 footed the first chance he got haha.

The premier league needs more of these side stories, keeps it interesting, watching them both try to beat each other.

Martinez with the winner makes it an easy win for him last night, but I hope the pair keep it going.

Yeah he could have done a Victor Moses type rebirth and been unreal in a back 5. Hilarious player really, I've never seen someone so unstoppable in 1v1 situations that simultaneously offers 0 threat in the final third. It's incredible (and also proof that the assumption of attackers getting better at making decisions with more minutes/age isn't true really).
