Abramovich wants Cesc

as much as iniesta is one of my favourite players, he is not as effective as pedro is in a wide forward position (though he can certainly 'do a job' there). Furthermore, guardiola brought pedro through the system and i can't imagine guardiola 'moving' pedro for really anyone..
I can. He is the one who claimed Iniesta would retire him and Xavi. He rates him more than everyone he has bar Messi IMO

Pedro's age is also a plus compared to iniesta. This is different from the zlatan situation where there was a like for like swap in the system (eto'o out, zlatan in). The basic shape and tactics remained the same. Guardiola isn't like madrid, he wont feck up his whole philosophy to try to shoe horn fabregas by dropping either pedro or busquets permanently.
Yes. But moving an Iniesta wide left would never feck up his philosophy. It's dropping a Busquets that would.

If fabregas moves to barca, he'll either have to wrestle a position off of iniesta or xavi, or sit on the bench. simples.
Most probably. Rather than because Pep can't re-jig things. That is why I think Fab shouldn't move there till he is about 25.

If Barca cough up a ridiculous amount of money, they would have no choice but to play the man, even if it's not working out like they did with Ibra.

The only way I see it happening is by taking out Busquets

This is why I don't think they will. Once bitten, twice shy.

They seem to have little money let alone the 60 odd million Euro's they'll need if Chelsea raise the bar by sticking in a £50 million bid.

Fabregas has ages left on his contract so where's the incentive for Arsenal to sell to Barca for less that Chelsea will pay?

I agree. It seems that when someone from Arsenal suggested this last year Fabregas spat his dummy out.

But it is as you suggested "simples".

@TransferMonkey off Twitter seems to think United are going to bid for Fabregas

He won't go anywhere else in England.

If he is clever he will wait until Xavi leaves (unlikely) or 1/2 seasons before he hangs it up.

Can't see it happening. He wants to leave for Barcelona, and if he can't then he'll be happy enough to stay at Arsenal. The same way that Ronaldo only had one destination when he left.

If Chelsea bid, we should try to bid as well.

Followed by City, followed by Chelsea upping theirs, followed by city upping theirs...followed by Chelsea and then City bidding stupid amounts of money and wages...leaving United to say feck it, this is getting silly.

Sounds like a great plan, force Chelsea or City to pay more, and Arsene will keep all the money and refuse to spend it anyway.
