About the future partnership Manchester - Nantes

Are your academies able to bring in the African players and give them European passports or do they have to be in the country for a certain length of time?

Our academies are not any longer able to do that, because it would take one of the 5 non-UE places of the club (and that would be a waste). That's why Nantes is soon going to have academies in Africa.

I just feel you are going a little over the top mate. OK Last year maybe you had a bad experience but as Neil says thats your prerogative. Being a life member of the Reds and living now in France, I think that a partnership with Nantes (the best youth Sporting Academy with Auxerre) is the best thing that could happen o us given that there have been recent concerns about the youth we are producing.

SO take it easy mate.....</strong><hr></blockquote>

Good Luck Man Utd!

Be Careful!

A team is not responsible for the police plan on a match. The fact is that English fans have a bad reputation : that's not my fault, nor the fault of the FC Nantes, is it ?</strong><hr></blockquote>

bad reputation justifies anything then, eh? cnut

That's not what I said, eh cnut. I mean that that sort of police plans are quite exceptional, for English and Turkish fans, eh cnut. And this is not my fault, nor the fault of Nantes FC, if the french police thinks all English football fans are hooligans, eh cnut.

Do you think that we are that bad? Most of us just want to have a good drink, have a good sing, watch the match, and then fcukoff home without any trouble. Instead your police treat us like animals - it's a disgrace, a bit like your stadium

its a great idea, no doubt United have done their homework on Nantes, and of course Filho will surely have a wealth of information on the french academies. Its obvious the french clubs have been producing the goods in recent years. The ties to African football are key, which is full of untapped talent- Nantes probably have the connections and United can probably provide the financial resourses for 'mutual benefit' of course.

Have to say, I went to the game in Nantes, thought the ground was cracking, loved the city , had no trouble with the police and the merguez sausages were a class above Lou macari's chips in curry sauce!

Nantes played some lovely stuff as well.

I'm not the french police, sir. You should directly send an email to Nicolas Sarkozy, to complain.
What troubles me is that Red99 doesn't seem to have been persecuted like you. Manchester fans just had to wait a few minutes after the end of the game.
