Good luck with that pea of a brain and Ole as the coach... *sigh*

Had we had a guy like Poch or Pep, then sure. They teach and improve players.
When I read utter shit like this I’m not sure if it’s a wind up or not, posts like this just baffles the feck out of me.

NO, it only suits journalists to inflate our transfers when they aren't trying to paint a negative light on a new transfer.

Hence, Fred and Martial cost 70 million each (i.e. all wages, add ons and a straight 1:1 euro to £ conversion) when talking about our expensive flops, but just the initial up front cost is cited when they want to make the completely meaningless point about 'united's 4th most expensive signing ever'. And before people ask why it is meaningless, it is because comparing prices now with prices in the past without factoring in inflation, exchange rates etc, is a completely pointless exercise. If you did this properly I would expect, Ferdinand, Veron, Berbativ and RVN to be relatively more expensive transfers than £50 million for AWB is today.

Still a lot of money for a very limited player. I'm very skeptical about this signing.

Great stuff, now lets get a move on with the other area's that need addressing

He's a whole lot of muscle and athleticism but little else. Essentially another Kyle Walker.

I'm guessing the varying reports on the fee have to do with bonuses and if he makes a certain amount of appearances for us (and England). I saw very little of him last season so I'm trusted you lot to be right! (oh heck...). but he can only be better than what we've got

As President Jed Bartlet would say: "What's next?"

Your wingers don't like him
Wan-Bissaka, Wan-Bissaka

Get your own song you melts!

Look forward to hearing how much is up front over the next few days and we can now crack on with our own business which is good, expect Clyne will be incoming shortly.

There weren't many options really. There's Meunier who may offer more in attack but who knows if he'll fit into the PL, and there's Cancelo who won't want to go to a non-CL club. This is a proven PL player who will improve our defence vastly, which was the biggest problem of last season. He was practically the 2nd best RB in the league last season (behind TAA in my opinion), and he's got many many years ahead of him.

Sorry but I hope we steal it. It's too fecking catchy and I've had it in my head for days now.

Clyne would be a good replacement, and that extra £50m should help build up your team nicely.

You mean the right back that's been in the league winning squad for the past two seasons yeah?
If he's as good as Kyle Walker then we have ourselves a gem.
Walkers prone to the odd error but is still quality.
AWB looks to be half way there already, can read the game amazingly well, has pace, intelligence and the attitude to back all this up, given the freedom he will get down that right side I'm sure he will flourish.
Finally pace in our full back positions.

So we still ended up paying £50m despite 2 months of negotiations. Whoever negotiates transfers really sucks at his job but well at least it's done.

Yes but we’ve kept the sell on for Zaha which I imagine was the real issue.

Reports were that they wanted more (£60M+) unless the clause was removed. We stood firm and said we weren't going to remove the clause, but provided more money upfront.

Question to people who just wanted this deal done with no negotiating - are you happy if it took an extra week but we paid 45 vs 60 and kept the zaha clause which could be worth 25m or do you think those few days are worth 15- 40m ?

Well it took 3 weeks, better late than never. SO glad this means Young will not start on a regular basis. Hopefully we can wrap up a couple more by Friday? Who am i kidding.

I reckon you’re wasting your time with that one, AWB is thick as shit and Ole is a fecking no mark, just deal with it
