Probably pulling sickies again.
ETH should give him a few games because he was unfair to him. I can't see how he's worse than Dalot.
So basically what you’re saying is you haven’t watched any game in the past 4 weeksETH should give him a few games because he was unfair to him. I can't see how he's worse than Dalot.
Except the one where he can pass to his teammates?I think he has every aspect to be miles better than Dalot with good coaching.

Love these montages that show you 1 second per clip and cut out before the player's inevitable shite bit of play that follows immediately after the skill.
AWB is technically useless and him immediately getting sidelined was the single most predictable change we all knew ETH would make.
One thing this does show -- Emerson Royal is one crap player. He's a wingback most of the time too!Be honest and just admit that he just can't have even a half of these stats
Where do people dream this stuff up from? You must be seeing something nobody else can, and certainly neither of our recent managers can.I think he has every aspect to be miles better than Dalot with good coaching.
Because Dalot was performing many levels below where he is nowJust watching Dalot's performance last night and thinking how on earth this guy got to play in front of him. He must surely be our worst signing ever? Even Maguire was better value for money than him.
I agree. Maguire is decent and can have a decent to good career elsewhere but this guy sadly is not at all good.Just watching Dalot's performance last night and thinking how on earth this guy got to play in front of him. He must surely be our worst signing ever? Even Maguire was better value for money than him.
Dalot was never given the same opportunities Wan-Bissaka was. One game here and there with fringe players beside him hindered his development.Because Dalot was performing many levels below where he is now
Exactly. Dalot himself was written off thousands of times so it's weird that fans jump to repeat the cycle for players out of form.Because Dalot was performing many levels below where he is now
Wan-Bissaka is not out of form. He's just shit. He could barely do the basics you'd expect from a footballer even when he was "playing well".Exactly. Dalot himself was written off thousands of times so it's weird that fans jump to repeat the cycle for players out of form.
Could have said the same for Dalot 2 years ago. I don’t particularly rate AWB but the Dalot example should tell you a lotWan-Bissaka is not out of form. He's just shit.

He most certainly did get a run of games and wasn’t good enoughNo. Dalot showed his technical quality at AC Milan; he wasn’t given a run of matches at UTD so that judgement couldn’t have been made. On the other hand we have had the misfortune of watching AWB over the last few seasons and it is clear to see that, for as long as he has a hole in his arse, he won’t be an elite performer.
The hope for Wan Bissaka is in my opinion defensively, if he can refine his positioning maybe he can emulate someone like Ivanovic as a defensive fullback.
I have to say I think this is a bit of a myth. Yes Wan-Bissaka one-on-one is a great defender, but that is only one aspect of defending. I lost count of the number of times he would be caught under the ball at the back post from a cross, or lose his man from a cross, or just generally be horribly out of position which he could sometimes rectify with one of his trademark slide tackles. That is not even considering how woeful he was going forwards and at the basics with the ball at his feet. I think he was definitely less value for money than Maguire, which says a lot, and we will struggle to get anywhere over £15M for him (and from who?).
Where is the myth? The hope that he becomes defensively good?
No. Natural technical ability can not be learned at that level. He is exceptional at 1v1 defending but a very limited player on the ball. For a deep block defensive team he could be very good and, we should get decent money for him, but for an attacking side with a focus on possession and play, he is a liability.I think he has every aspect to be miles better than Dalot with good coaching.
