Having become accustomed to success until the re-emergence of Arsenal and Liverpool they don't seem to be able to cope with losing or being third in a three horse race. They have over recent games become more rattled.

Against Chelsea when things weren't going their way Beckham (who has just fathered another boy), Neville and van Kneestillsore looked miserable and were making petulant little kicks and fouls against opponents and then looking at the ref as if to say 'Do you know who I am?'.

Every scouts report used to read, 'get at Beckham he's easily upset' and Man Utd fans were very proud that he grew up a bit upon receiving the England captaincy. I'd be the first to admit that it improved him as a player but the petulance of France 98 appears to have returned.

Yesterday's booking, his second in three league games, will no doubt signal a return to the scouts reports of old. He was booked for standing in front of a free kick minutes after a reckless tackle on the legend that is Phil Babb and he once again went into headless chicken mode. You could actually hear Rennie say 'move away' three times before Beckham was booked.

It was the same for the early part of the Chelsea game he looked like he would blow his top, even after his deflected goal, and you could see his booking there coming a mile off.

Phil Neville recieves regular bo**ockings from his own players, yesterday being no different, and has proved time and time again that he's not premiership class and most definitely not fit to play for a top five side. He's another clueless muppet who doesn't appear to have a clue about the laws of the game and hacks at everything.

Roy Keane, who actually has the nerve to hand out said bo**ockings, has shown once again what a liability he is. He'll no doubt be out for the best part of 9 matches now. Yes McAteer should have been booked for the initial fracas but that doesn't excuse what is obviusly another pre-meditated attack on McAteer.

How Demento can defend that at all in public is beyond me. He's gonna come out of this looking even more of a cnut than he already does. The man is void of class.

The United defence also look rattled, Blanc handling on the line seconds before Flo's goal. They are depleated in numbers and dropping all the time. The famous old Andy Gray addage about Man Utd's amazing 'strength in depth' is proving to be nothing more than the fallousy we always knew it was.

In summary:_Becks spitting his dummy out, Neville being... a Neville, Blanc Handling on the line, Keane losing his marbles... again, RVN still not scoring, Man Utd not winning. They are rattled and IMO are in grave danger of throwing the title very early this year._ _Should be a good season..._

Apparently some over zealous mod deleted Softys original post so I thought it would be only fair to re-post it so we can all benefit from Softys wisdom.

Sounds prmising, because all great teams have had this ptulance about them; Leeds under Revie, Liverpool with Sounness, McMahon etc, Chelsea's great team in the 60's, Arsenal both under Graham and Wenger and ourselves the last decade.

Marching, come on own up. His words have stung you haven't they? Just ban him, you know you're gagging to and this gives you the PERFECT reason to do just that ;)

Always?? Kinell, we haven't done badly over the past ten years for a team low on strength in depth.

I am sure if you ask for suggestions WHERE to stick it you might get some interesting answers mate.

So marching is getting closer and closer to his dream - to go to a match contested by the one and only United. It's just a matter of time. And don't deny that this mod business is anything other than an apprenticeship marching.

Why would someone delete a post that I made on a site that I co-own?

You think that you've always had strength in depth? Go on then explain and argue the point, don't just resort to calling me a clueless twat when you have feck all to back it up. Muppet.

I think his comments, at least the one you are quoting, is based on the last 10 years and not "always" as you put it. The always is reference to your statement "The famous old Andy Gray addage about Man Utd's amazing 'strength in depth' is proving to be nothing more than the fallousy we always knew it was."

I think it's a reasonable comment to suggest we have enjoyed 'strength-in-depth' over the last 10 years. How else would you explain our success? Have the same XI played all of that time? Have we not utilised a large squad of players and coped with injuries by bringing in fringe players that have done a job for us? Of course there are exceptions, for example when Cantona in '95 and Keano in '98 were injured. Apart from that the squad system has worked exceptionally well.

Are you a puffy stalker too? You wanna chat to Marching... he has a collection that he hides from his wife...

Limplad = turnip

I liked the Andy Gray fallousy cobblers, using Limplads arguement the fact that we kicked Liverpools ass for ten years with no strength in depth, just goes to show how feckin good we are, and how woeful Liverpool are.

Thanks Turnip.

Even if you look at 95 or 98 you've never had the sort of strength in depth that you would like to believe and Andy Gray harps on about - maybe a couple of decent strikers in reserve and a half decent midfielder but other than m,aybe 3 players who else? Most of your squad players wouldn't get anywhere near any of the top 6 teams.

Well done Bullshit, it probably does point to other clubs having poor teams but it doesn't mean that you had particularly great strength in depth to have to beat them, hence the fallacy.

As I have said outside of your first choice 11 and maybe 2 or 3 players a few years back what 'depth' have you ever had?

And we still beat you every year, this just gets better and better.

We'll agree to disagree, you're well known for you balanced views. Pointless discussing it, the bottom line is that we have been very successful and we operate a squad system. This would indicate that we have had strength in depth.

Liverpool have a massive squad

Doh!

Liverpool have a huge squad

Double Doh!

Liverpool have a big squad

Feck me, where are they all going.??

;)

Where did I say that from 92 to 00 we had a better team? Did you not understand the post? Why don't you try answering it? Go on, give it a try, just this once...

What your argument? Come on, answer the point... you can't do it can you?

United have been using the squad rotation system for years, along with the Arse.
Liverpool have bought a big squad but not really rotated it except maybe for the front line.
Now him, he and them all want to leave.

What was the last line about NWR? The only player who want to Leave Liverpool are those who aren't in Houlliers plans, so therefore players we will be selling anyway.

Size is not what we are talking about. It's the quality we are talking about and Man Utd have never had much of that outside of their first 13 or 14. Even now they don't compared to Arsenal or Liverpool domestically.
