I thought it could have been an absolutely brilliant film if
they done away with all the religious bollocks. Should have just made it a Fallout style post-apocalyptic world. Would have been mint. And yeah, the twist was utterly pointless. It's like they added it in right at the end when they realized the film was lacking something, but couldn't be arsed to go back and change the rest of the film to make it fit.
