I hate to do this but he told me this morning and i've no reason to disbelieve him...

Was talking to Paddy Crerand last week.

Rio has been coming over playing golf with Nicky Butt and the Nevilles for a few months now.

We are also about to make a signing that will "Bring the house down".

I believe he spoke to Paddy...but i don't think Paddy knows anymore than the rest of us.

The house down can only be Ronaldo if you ask me.
 
Inter could sell Ronaldo for an ungodly amount and then buy Ronaldinhio who is younger, and potentially as promising to partner Vieri.

Well, Ronaldo hasn't played that much in Italy. He's also a proven goalscorer in Brazil, Holland and Spain. And I believe it's easier for a striker to adjust than a midfielder.

I don't think there's any chance of us getting him though. :(

If Ronaldo comes to Utd then.......its true...NIKE CONTROLS THE WORLD.

I cant see why inter would let go of a player who scored 8 in the WC unless they are tired of seeing him on the injury table.

In all seriousness, I hope its Ronaldo, the guy is back and ready to get some well deserved club success, just the sort of inspiration we need in our team for a treble bid next season.

I can see it now, Ronaldo in the red of Man. Utd, lifting the Champions League trophy on our sacred turf after a stunning 4-1 victory over Real Madrid, with Ronaldo bagging 2, RVN getting 1 and Goldenballs getting the last with a 35yrd free-kick. Wouldn't that just be the best.

Well one can only dream! :)
 
I just read this in the "My mate says" section of the official site...

OK, bare with me...

My mate, from Cheadle, who now lives in London, married a bird from Rio. She used to work for a Doctor in Rio before she met my mate, the Doctors name was Ronaldo Valente and he is a friend of Sonia, Ronaldo's Mum, as he helped deliver baby Ronaldo; apparently Ronaldo is named after the Doc... Don't know how true that is though.

My mate and his wife were on holiday in Rio this last month and they bumped into Dr. Valente's daughter. They ended up talking about Ronaldo and the Doc's daughter said that Ronny had agreed to play for Manchester United and will sign after the World Cup. My mate was all skeptical until he asked her how she knew, she said "I know his brother Nelinio very well, he told me back in January that Ronny was going to play for Manchester United after the World Cup, as long as his knee was OK." My mate then asked her if it was Nike who pushed him into going, she said no, apparently Ronny asked Nike to broker the deal on his behalf after Andy Cole was sold, something about him wanting to play with Bex and wanting the #9 shirt!!! (Didn't Ronny get Bex' shirt after the quarter final in Japan?????)

Don't believe it if you don't want to, I do because my mate is no BS artist and he doesn't even like football, he only knew about the Nike thing coz he works at the Conrad International Hotel in Chelsea Harbour were Umbro.com have their offices. He heard the staff all bitching and moaning about Nike before the deal was even announced to the public.<hr></blockquote>Hmmmmm.

Ronaldo also was quoted after the enland match as saying the Brazilian squad couldn't believe how good looking Bex was up close.(this is no BS, its an official quote, it made the top 10 in the Irish Times yesterday) so maybe its not just footballing reasons he cumming to Manchester for???? ;) :p

These rumours about Ronaldo signing tomorrow are bound to be true....

after all, it isn't like any of the newspapers would have heard anything about the story, is it!

No, football reporters don't have any sources of the kind a tourist in Rio has.... It's not like the reporters know anyone in the game, or at Nike, who might have mentioned it, is it...

After all, it's not like Ronaldo is a big player on the world scene, is it....
