When's the last time we saw one of those then?

Chelsea were involved until quite late in 13/14.When's the last time we saw one of those then?
I'd choke them all
Yeah, but in a proper league...La Liga had one in 13/14 and 15/16
We were around 15 points behind Arsenal at this point last seasonOnly last season. City, Arsenal and us were neck and neck and neck till the end
It was famously a two-horse race with the second horse coming in third.PL 15/16
not my boys. they’ve learnt from the failures of the past. michael has instilled a lot of belief in them. sake is back on form, koi is coming good. apparently, even ***** is only attacking women during carling cup weeks.Nah, feck Arsenal….theyll shit the bed
Yeah, a giraffes neck.Only last season. City, Arsenal and us were neck and neck and neck till the end
HahahahahaYeah, a giraffes neck.
Yeah, a giraffes neck.
ChokemónI'd choke them all
They've timed their referee decisions right, after today nobody will dare give a decision against them. Michael Oliver will see City and Newcastle home.Liverpool will win the last 10 straight from here. I'd be very surprised if they drop a single point.
Some actual data! It seems like 09/10 and 13/14 were the closest previously. I can't really remember 09/10 other than Machedaaaaaaa. Surprised that it was that close. In the last 20 seasons (including this one) the 3rd placed team after 28 matches has been within 10 points behind the leader 9 times, within 6 points behind the leader 5 times, and within 4 points behind the leader 3 times.
In the 13/14 season the 4th placed team after 28 matches was only 4 points behind the leader, the only time the 4th placed team was within 8 points.
(Note that Tottenham has only played 27 games in the current season as of the publishing of this post and could go 1 point ahead of Aston Villa if they win their next game)
We spent big in the summer, but I think we have spent well. Rice and Havertz have provided more steel and experience to our squad, and overall I think we've learned from the heartbreak of last season. Both Rice and Havertz look to have that clutch gene too. It'll be close, but hopefully we won't fall away limply like we did last season.wow there are only 10 games left. it feels like it was yesterday when arsenal were choking the league away
Macheda goal was 08-09.Some actual data! It seems like 09/10 and 13/14 were the closest previously. I can't really remember 09/10 other than Machedaaaaaaa. Surprised that it was that close.
Didn't they break that record last season?Didn’t Arsenal spend longer in top spot during the 2013/2014 season than anyone else, despite finishing 4th? Conceding 17 goals away to the 3 teams that finished above them didn’t help, and neither did only picking up 1 point against Moyes’ Utd.
And regarding 2001/2002, I believe that Newcastle were also considered to be title challengers going to March, when they lost 2-0 at home to Arsenal.
I'd give Liverpool more chance than you based on them having a manager and number of players who have shown they can handle the pressure of it before. They also might be fighting on three fronts but Klopp is hardly going to prioritise the FA Cup or Europa League, while you and City have the business end of the CL which invariably takes its toll on the league performancesI love all the talk about us imploding, despite being on an eight game winning run and every metric showing us as a genuinely world class side. That wasn’t the case last season but this current side is so much stronger.
It’s between us and City. We haven’t yet seen their usual end of season form but there’s still time. They could just turn it on at the Etihad in our game and win out from there.
Liverpool are the most injury hit, they don’t have the squad to fight on three fronts and they seem to be getting some big calls against them too. I find it odd that Klopp is leaving because their rebuild shows huge promise, but they won’t win the title.
