Wow so my last two posts have been about Ole . I think half the posts in the whole Rangnick thread is you talking out of your arse about him.

Or the truth that they're both shit. You can't handle that though can you

Play the kids and I hope we miss out on Europe completely. Total rebuild over the summer, which we won't do because we have shit owners. We're fecked.

WTF?? Why?

As a fan, some of the best away trips are the obscure ones rather than going to Madrid with 5000 others who won’t bother when The going gets tough

This season is the worst ever as a United fan.

Had worse pain when City won the title the way they did, but this season is just making me depressed.

Still I am quite numb over City getting the leagues even if I dislike it.

Top 4 doesn’t matter a feck, I’ve been on record here saying that. Unless you’re a contender to win then it means very little. Look at our last few CL campaigns and tell me you enjoyed it.
Even if you don't enjoy the games or are resigned to us falling short each campaign, top 4 is still a huge deal for us finance wise or for being able to attract top quality talents to the club.

Do not give one single flying fack.

Can’t beat the worst atletico team in the last decade after having shat the bed multiple times this year In the league and cups already?
Fack off you useless cants I won’t waste my time watching you try to play football any more.
Not worthy of any support at all.
(Middle finger)

The worst thing there'll be excitement for next season and you just know, no matter what, it'll be the same oul rubbish. There's too many problems.

Just get the right manager in and give him 5 signings he wants to improve the team. We can't lag again with ponderous decision making wrt new manager and summer signings.

Because it's not true. Rangnick isn't good enough to be our long term manager nor do I want him to be but some of the football under him as been way better than what we saw under Ole and considering he took over a broken squad and wasnt given any money to bring in his own players he did alright for an interim. You are just completely over board with your rants.

Let's get together as a fan base behind the team and get that 4th spot together. Then in the summer we have to hope and pray that RR et all will recruit correctly.. The Glazers got their new marketing icon to replace Ronaldo which supports their business model.. Now let us recruit correctly and improve the quality of the team..

We should look at integrating players like Mcneill and Mjebri in first team. There is nothing to play for anyway. We aren’t getting 4th

Bloody hell the negativity.

We weren't terrible tonight Atleti just managed the game well. Effort was there. 9 games left, see how many points we can get. We still have Arsenal to play. Arsenal also still have to play Liverpool and Chelsea. Get top 4, make the right appointment (Ten Hag) and with a couple of tweaks and some more quality coaching we have a side more than capable of challenging for honours.

The result of giving up on the season in October.

Tbh, we gave up on winning anything major when we gave OGS the full-time job. He was a brilliant caretaker but always a stopgap.

Thank fecking God. This actually cheered me up properly.

I know. I'm relieved to think some of this bunch don't have many games left to screw up.

Well Ajax have also gone out. No better, is he?

Not sure if serious.

I’d prepare to lose games now to avoid Europa and that daft Conference league. Do an Arsenal and allow us to build with just the league games to focus. No point trying Europe until we can battle the Premier League imo.
This. Well said.

There's another 38 games coming up after the summer though.

Despite the shite and everything, we still need to give top 4 a go.

We played some far better football under Ole than we ever have under Rangnick. We can put that down to different factors but at times Oles Utd played some brilliant stuff.

Do we have to play them all? Isn't there some sort of give back scheme we can partake in?

Old Trafford is going to have a lot of empty seats for the final few league games. Massive summer coming up and can we really trust the board to make the decisions in the interests of the team and not their marketing model. Crazy how much apathy there is amongst United's hardcore support (is this even a thing anymore?) considering how badly the club has been run the last 9 years.

Blood a few youngsters (Hannibal, Fernandez, McNeil etc) and stop playing players who are clearly off in the summer or play like they couldn't give a shit. If we get top 4 or not, so be it.

Are you being serious? Its worrh 30 to 40m at the group stage. Money talks in this world.

That money either goes to the glazers or towards buying glamour misfits anyway.

Agree. Rather go all out in the Europa League next season and win it. We do well in this competition in recent seasons. It’s a major European trophy, increases our Uefa silverware count and guarantees CL the following season.

Rather finish mid table and win the EL than yet another dull barren season fighting for top 4.

If we don't have a significant transfer window this time around, I'm afraid we might be staring at a bottom half finish next season. I can't wait to see the back of Maguire and Rashford.

Give it a few more years of poor footballing decisions/management and relegation becomes a distinct possibility.

I don't remember when was the last time the last game of the season for me was in March.
Since Moyes was the manager....

Even when we finished 2nd, were we anywhere NEAR the front row?

9 games left.

5 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats I reckon. United finishing 5th or 6th.

What a downer.

I disagree. We had better moments of individual brilliance but even against the shit teams we never looked in control. We had that with Ralf at times

Is that really so important? Same thing has been said every year and look at where we are. Qualifying for the CL and attracting "quality talents" hasn't improved us one iowta

Arsenal have Liverpool at home and away games at Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Palace and Southampton. They could easily drop 10-15 points from those. And then we face them and could take another three. Things are dire but we do have a chance.

Meh - and we have Liverpool, Arsenal and Palace away, and Chelsea and Leicester at home. Simply, we are not good enough or consistent enough to capitalise on any slip ups Arsenal may have.

Can't believe how this season has gone this much off the rails.
We headed into the season with high hopes of a finish in the top and build upon a good league result last season. We were in the CL, and made some promising signings. I wasn't expecting us to play as a top top team, but I would have thought that the results and our league position would be way better.

Now we the season is more or less over. I can accept going out to Atletico in the knockout phase. I wasn't expecting us to suddenly be up for that challenge.
But the league looks more or less over for us aswell. It would take a some bottle job for Arsenal to not get that 4th place instead of us.

Your standards are far too low.

Just looking at the remaining fixtures.

Leicester (H)
Everton (A)
Norwich (H)
Liverpool (A)
Arsenal (A)
Brentford (H)
Brighton (A)
Chelsea (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

I honestly can't see us getting more than 12 points with this current lot.

The club deserves the UEFA Conference League as the ultimate form of humiliation but at least in terms of next season it wouldn’t need to be taken semi-seriously by the new manager like the Europa League would.

Although then again, a trophy is a trophy in these dark times. It might be our best shot…

Your standards are far too low.
Agreed. Beyond the Varanne header did we have a proper chance in second half? We passed the ball sideways a lot with no clue it seemed. Sancho was disappointingly anonymous, we lacked any ideas or creativity. No runs into the box, but with a 37 year old up front not sure thats much of a surprise. Rashford and Pogba need to go, time for the real clear out that some seemed to think Ole had delivered but in fact has left an even greater mess.

I think we'll get around 17 points out of 27 from these games. That comes to around 67 points, dont think that's enough for top 4.
Europa league, here we come.
