Considering Sheva is the only one out of the four who has won a Balon'd and has also appeared in Balon'd top three players, I don't know why that's so hard to believe?

If any of you haven't seen Raul, Ruud and Del Piero their peaks I suggest you do before basing your decision on some Wikipedia list of POTY winners you found on the internet
I think sheva is a fantastic player, don't get me wrong but at their best I would probably only put him ahead of Ruud in Crustanoids trinity. I just think at their best Del Piero and Raul were basically capable of everything you could want from an attacking player. I rate their ability to pick a pass, ability at set plays (more Del Piero), ability to come up with something extraordinary and ability to adapt to different attacking roles ahead of Sheva. In my opinion though Shevchenko was consistently great for Milan, his highest level is below that of Del Piero and Raul.
DE if you can think of a formation / personnel change to convince these spazzers that my players are superior then it's all yours - I'm outta here!

TBF there is definitely a good argument for saying Raul is the best on show in this match - he was deadly at his peak and had a wider range than Sheva but I just remember Shev being unstoppable for 3 or 4 seasons at Milan. I dont remember Del Piero reaching that high level though.
BTW I have already said that I think Crust's front 3 is better than ColdBoys so it is not me you need to convince!

He's not the only one to have appeared there in the top three. But it's just an award. Xavi has only come in third and Iniesta has only appeared in it once. Torres came third once but I'd still rate Ruud higher or Del Piero. No doubt.
Saying that, Shevchenko was of course a brilliant player. It's not that people aren't rating him. It's that therse three players are together.
Why is it just Ballon d'Or that's rated? It's only journalists that vote. FIFA World Player of the Year was voted on my players and managers. Now of course it's both.
I'm not even debating who is better and who isn't. DE's post was implying that as if it's utter madness that Sheva can be better than the other three. Even if there is a difference (which I don't think there is) it's negligible.
Squeaky bum time!! Late in the game, scores are tied, I'd put my money on a team with Ruud, Raul and Del Piero ahead of one with Sheva, Litmanen and fecking Wiltord.
