yeah I know, we just about held on and had a very sympathetic ref

although England are no great shakes at the moment we beat them playing very poorly and in fact havent really set the world on fire in the 6 nations in terms of performances even though we top the table

its not a bad complaint to have, they can and probably will play a lot better
 
This is great. Wales keep mysteriously winning games where as England (despite being utterly shite) keep nearly winning but then don't. 'Tis the way things should be

france are next for Ireland, never an easy game for the Irish
 
You ought to beat them

The French have a crisis of confidence right now... they brought in two quick players that gave them some penetration against Wales, especially that winger - can't remember his name, sounds like a woman's. But that didn't help much when the Welsh woke up and started tackling properly.

The Irish forwards are solid, as you said, and as long as they keep their heads and O'Driscoll is playing they ought to beat France.
 
The Welsh are getting the job done and they have the easier game next weekend. So, I hope Ireland and Wales both win and set up a huge clash in Cardiff to decide the Grand Slam.

Ireland lose to France on Saturday, I'm feckin sick of losing to them

Wales beat Scotland and are still in with a chance of the Grand Slam

Wales V Ireland next saturday should be good, Wales going for the GS, Ireland going for a second Triple Crown in a row
 
Wales should get the grand slam now. I really like the look of this young Welsh side. They're getting results and they're playing very exciting rugby which is why I hope they can achieve the top feat in European international rugby by getting the grand slam. I'll also be looking forward to seeing what they can do for the Lions against the All Blacks this summer. With quite a few of the the Welsh and Irish players in good form (the backs in particular) it should be an interesting contest.
