I think following the weekends results the league title has gone for another year.
This leads fans to a dilemma: it is pretty well known that at Man Utd, since Moyes, failure to get into the following season's champions league is a non-negotiable minimum tartget and you lose your job if you fail at that. It's been made more complex of course as winning the Europa also achieves that target.
So here is the dilemma: would Utd. fans accept a total collapse in the last 2 group games so Ole can be eased out sooner.... or would you prefer to drop into the Europa competition again knowing it could keep him in post well into 2022 especially if he wins it and then stays in the job for the next season?
Qualifying & progressing would be ideal of course, because winning the CL is also a route to qualification as holders, but do fans really think Utd. could win the big cup this season?
