Pretty sure Sjor said where possible and within the spirit of the draft. The whole point of the Kane pool is to avoid everyone just picking sheep for rounds on end surely?

You have it wrong am afraid. The Kane pool player should still follow the league chain which Elkjaer does not, he never played in the Czech league.

Also, surely the suggestion is not that all players within Edgar's timeline in the Czech pool are sheep? If its a country like Argentina, I can understand not having much overlap but timeline is the easiest way to find players in any league.

No. I would have picked a sheep and restricted the next player to Czech League again. Why should I look for a decent pick and open the pool again, when I get intentionally screwed?


And I'll do that for every single pick going forward. Pick a player and choose a non peak period so next in line is always screwed, as it seems within rules.

IMO if that were the case then Sjor probably should have chosen a different example in the OP other than post-peak Messi in the MLS / Ligue Un.

Not really fussed personally, would quite enjoy the challenge of ending up somewhere other than La Liga for once.
