3rd Test, at the bestest cricket ground ever & ever: England v. Pakistan

Yep, get one of these two out and it's game over.

Do they play very much cricket in Holland Rams?

Not much. They have one natural wicket in the whole country. The rest is played on carpets! Batsmans' nightmare....
I played a couple of seasons; for a Pakistani side would you believe! Wicket keeper batsman… my batting can be described as a mix between Geoffry Boycott and Chris Tavare.

 Tavare and Boycott.

Tavare was only like that for England. I remember seeing him play for Kent once and he was thonking that ball all over the shop.

The French also play a bit, but they translate all the fielding positons into French, so you get 'jambe carre' and 'point stupide' etc....

Sorry to harp on but....

People say luck evens itself out. So Ductrove and Hair, racially biased the pair, gave Pakistan 4 CLEAR bad not out decisions from the start of this match. Yet they've not given even ONE bad decision against England.

At what point will this 'luck' even itself out? Just pondering.

I don't think they're 'racially biased', just poor umpires.

I've seen tests where so-called 'white' countries have recieved plenty of bad decisions from 'coloured' umpires. Would that also be 'racially biased'?

Yes, of course that would be considered racially biased if that was the case.

Racially doesn't just mean colour. It refers to race too. Pakistan and WI don't have a great relationship and Doctrove is the same umpire who didn't give a clear OUT to Jimmy Adams a few seasons back who went on to save the series with his innings.

Hair is the worst, so bad in fact Pak, Ind and SL have requested never having him assigned to their games...yet here he is again. And yet, TWO BAD decisions which will now cost Pakistan the series.

I'm waiting for Hair to do one of his big c*ckups AGAINST England.

Pakistan might lose the series, but they do so because they are the weaker team, as witnessed by their comprehensive defeat in the last test, a close shave in the 1st and the current test where they are losing the fight to save the match and series.

Don't hold your breath.

Never should Hair umpire in matches that feature England or Australia due to obvious reasons! ever.

England were far superior in the second test granted, although this test match will be remembered more for its controversial umpiring, and Darryl Hair again proves to have a white-skin bias.

I'm sure we could find examples of equally bad desicions against 'white-skinned' countries. Would that make him biased against everyone?

Jesus Christ….

If I had a penny for every bad decision made against England I’d be a billionaire by now.
Almost every match has its fair share of poor decisions.
These things go in circles.

another crazy run out :wenger:

113-7:D

I reckon there must have been some 'racial bias' in the desicion to give that run out.

As Rams said, we have many bad decisions during a match, but this guy has a history.

Go Monty - breath of fresh air...

I'm always sceptical of the persecution complex that subcontinentals in particular seem to have but I've suspected Darrell Hair of having a 'white skinned bias' for years now. It's interesting that this has become a more commonly held view recently.

I bet that coincides with the upturn in England’s success of the past few years…..

Anyway, we have just beaten the no. 2 test country in the world. We have now beaten both the no. 1 and no. 2 in 12 months time. Not only that, we beat Pakistan with a side missing all sorts of players through injury. We even arguably had our two best bowlers missing.
It’s the first time this could have happened since the 60’s.
Plus we seem to be finding all sorts of young world-class cricketers from all over the place. We now have 5 genuine world-class wicket taking bowlers (incl. a spinner!!!) and 4 or 5 world-class batsmen. Time for English cricket to rejoice!

Ozzie here we come…..
