2021 American Civil War

Steny Hoyers speaking style is annoying the crap out of me. Good thing he does not have a time limit.

my god, he's still going. I left the room to go make a grilled cheese sandwich. Grilled. Cheese. Sandwich. That takes time friends. Imagine my horror when I come back and he's still talking. It doesn't help that 40% of his speeches is pauses.

What cheese?

What cheese?

@Rado_N, as usual you ask the important questions.

A mix of 3. Imported Swiss from a local German deli, Wisconsin 3-year Cheddar, and an interesting cheese from North Carolina my sister sent me that has the texture of mozzarella and the bite of cheddar.

Putting this in the snobbery thread.

What's the difference?
Impeachment is a political process, conviction/removal is a criminal (civil?) process.

Do we expect them to have the numbers?

Impeachment - yes.
Conviction - remains to be seen, sounds like McConnell might be open to it but I’m not convinced he will whip for it.

Jeff Flake made a good point yesterday; he said that if there's impeachment without conviction then that would give future presidents carte Blanche to do the same as Trump again.
