Oh my god i'm pissing my pants. They JUST realized she was batshit crazy XD What about Rudy?

Someone really should have told Rudy before he introduced her as part of the team at a press conference the other day.

That's the part that shows that this legal team is just a mess. Ellis, who's supposed to be Trump's campagin lead lawyer, should have checked all of that before hand. She didn't and let Rudy roll with fake infos about overvoting and let Powell spew her international communist conspiracy theory. This is a disgrace, we're talking about a Presidential election in the USA and it feels like we're hearing drunk people shout at the pub. What a shame.

I have always wandered around r/trump after election, they are absolute batshit crazy.

It was my first time visiting r/conservatives after seeing this post and I genuinely found it to be a lot more reasonable so far. And I can kind of see the sort of audience Lincoln project were targeting.

It does seem like there is currently a big split between the GOP and Trumpist cults. That's why GOP are very careful in being silent through this whole fiasco, because they are caught in between a rock and a hard place.

Many of the people there were blaming a brigade from r/politics, so it's hard to say if it's representative or not.

I wonder if they think that the plan to "steal" the election was - let's say - not a smashing success, given that a very likely outcome is that the Republicans will still be able to cramp Biden's style considerably (given the overall power balance)?

I mean, to paraphrase Doctor Evil - as far as coups go, this would be a semi-coup, the Diet Coke * of coups, etc.

Or do they not think at all?

Oh...right, nevermind.

* Which would be...yeah, you know.

Apparently, when you are frauding 100k votes in 12hrs, there is only enough time to fraud the vote for the president.

Seems that way.

I guess Chávez was in a hurry back in 2013 too (he was dying, after all) - so when he rigged all them machines, he only had time to program the "Trump to Biden" cheat code...and only in some states.

Makes sense, really - if you don't think about it too much.

Hilarious.

Where did Serbia bit come from though? Their president said that he would prefer Trump to win, and their congress speaker essentially begged Serbian Americans to vote Trump.
You're assuming way too much logic or knowledge posing that question. I mean, the Venezuela bit connect to long-dead Chavez, and why would they say Hong Kong instead of China?

You can't disbar a lawyer for a frivolous lawsuit. Especially not if that lawsuit is yet to be proven as frivolous.

As much as I might agree with Pascrell on the principle, he shouldn't be hating the player instead of the game.

Why don't these lawyers look like the hot people in Suits. I bet Harvey Specter could win Trump the election.

From the first moment I was already arguing with her.

"73 million people voted for Trump" - yes and more voted for Biden and more importantly he won more electors. Maybe the US should move to a system of proportional representation if Conservatives want to have a bigger say.

You can, per the article itself.

New York’s rules of professional conduct for licensed attorneys bar the filing of frivolous lawsuits. They further say its misconduct for an attorney to engage in dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentations.

Both are in the constitution. There is a strain of the public who like the federalist system, so retaining the electoral college may be more palatable to them, which would be necessary to gain the broad support to amend the constitution to include proportional voting instead of the current winner take all system. Admittedly, this is all pie in the sky since we will never get enough support to change the constitution again (probably ever).
I thought you just needed enough states to sign up to the pact to circumvent the electoral college?

He's trolling now at this point

When is he ever not?! From such a weak position he is pretty good at the political judo. Waits for the enemy to expose its weaknesses and deftly manoeuvres his way in to land a couple of takedowns. He can never really win but he can chip away at the foundations year after year, without really exposing his own vulnerabilities.

For those that can't get behind the paywall, here's a video by WSJ. You can see why people watching that coverage of the US election and nothing else could wonder wtf is going on.

I'll reproduce it here for those who don't know.

Malcolm tells the parable of "house Negro."
King Solomon Baptist Church, Detroit. 10 November 1963.

Transcribed text from audio excerpt.

To understand this, you have to go back to what the young brother here referred to as the house Negro and the field Negro back during slavery. There were two kinds of slaves, the house Negro and the field Negro. The house Negroes--they lived in the house with master, they dressed pretty good, they ate good because they ate his food--what he left. They lived in the attic or the basement, but still they lived near their master; and they loved their master more than their master loved himself. They would give their life to save their master's house--quicker than the master would. If the master said, "We got a good house here," the house Negro would say, "Yeah, we got a good house here." Whenever the master said "we," he said "we." That's how you can tell a house Negro.

If the master's house caught on fire, the house Negro would fight harder to put the blaze out than the master would. If the master go sick, the house Negro would say, "What's the matter, boss, we sick?" We sick! He identified himself with his master, more than his master identified with himself. And if you came to the house Negro and said, "Let's run away, let's escape, let's separate." The house Negro would look at you and say, "Man, you crazy. What you mean, separate? Where is there a better house than this? Where can I wear better clothes than this? Where can I eat better food than this?" That was that house Negro. In those days he was called a "house nigger." And that's what we call them today, because we've still got some house niggers running around here.

This modern house Negro loves his master. He wants to live near him. He'll pay three times as much as the house is worth just to live near his master, and then brag about "I'm the only Negro out here." "I'm the only one on my job." "I'm the only one in this school." You're nothing but a house Negro. And if someone comes to you right now and says, "Let's separate," you say the same thing that the house Negro said on the plantation. "What you mean, separate? From America, this good white man? Where you going to get a better job than you get here?" I mean, this is what you say. "I ain't left nothing in Africa," that's what you say. Why, you left your mind in Africa.

X, Malcolm. "Message to the Grass Roots." Northern Negro Grass Roots Leadership Conference. Group on Advanced Leadership. King Solomon Baptist Church, Detroit. 10 November 1963.

I am surprised that she didn't add Xi and Chairman Mao to the list of people behind this.
Surely it's time the American citizens put a stop to this nonsense.
Can Trump be prosecuted after he is finished as the President? If so maybe the Republican senators may support his prosection so that will be taken out of the equation in politics in the future. If you are in jail then you can't run for the presidency again.

He's trolling now at this point

How is the attitude among Trump evangelists towards Russia by the way? You'd expect 'Murica patriots to be antagonizing Putin and Russia but I guess that's not the case anymore? Or do they just ignore the relations and get on with it?
