This was like the main part of my last post so it would be nice of you if you'd adress this argument instead of ripping quotes out of context.

"I think that's nonsense and dangerous"
Do you recognize the opening part of your second paragraph? This is really going to encourage me to treat your post as serious discussion material...that's why I replied as I did.

Kinda proves my point? If that is what you think about my post, not much point in taking discussion any further.... maybe if your reply had been "I think I would take a different view than you...? then maybe I would have addressed your whole post...maybe!! :)

Worked well for them the first time. Oh, wait, I forgot that Mississippi now has superior firepower nowadays. Paper beats rock, double barrel with a pitchfork taped to it beats cruise missile.

Ffs, should have read further down the page. Now my joke has fallen flat :(
Nah, you can never make fun of Mississippi too much. After all, as an ex Alabamian I can proudly say that our state motto is “At least we’re not Mississippi”

Funnily enough I'm currently watching A Time To Kill and thought it was Alabama at the start.

Has anyone got an explanation of apparently educated people coming on news shows to defend Trump's actions including senior staff. Are they that loyal to him or actually believe in what they are saying? Or are they afraid of the loss of power and just trying everything in the book to keep it? Its absolute parody at times.

Considering optical counting machines are 10 times more reliable than hand counting, this is absurd.
That is a solid counter argument. Trusting humans to do the counting over a machine seems indeed very flawed. Aside from being without human bias-I presume counting machines do not use networked connections to make them vulnerable to easy tampering either.

Easily the best movie among all the Grisham books imo.
I find myself going between "Damn, there's a lot of racists in Mississippi" and "Damn, there's a lot of beautiful areas in Mississippi" alot.

Reminder that no one should fall for the joke that is Ivanka.

She is responsible for some of the cringiest moments over the past four years. Like when she tried to rub shoulders with Trudeau, May, Macron etc.
I kinda hopes she runs at some point, so she gets exposed as the idiot she is.

That’s basically the entire South summed up in a way.
Only ever been to Florida and it was amazing. Only time I've ever burned my hand on a car bonnet. If I had no kids and could just travel I would just love to start a journey in Seattle, drive all the way down to the South, go along, pop down for a wee bit to ride the teacups at Disneyland, visit the Kennedy Space Center again, go back up the East Coast all the way to Boston. And then go into Canada, befriend a moose, drink Yukon Jack on top of the moose and then eat poutine until I explode. Avoid the middle bit because it's just filled with bears and not bother with places like Montana because there's literally nothing there.

I'd turn it into a show. It would be called "Scotsman Doesn't Know Where The Feck He Is".

Finding it a bit strange sitting over here in Ireland how relaxed many of the Americans on here seem to be about what’s happening.

I went to Florida when I was like 9 and thought it was the best place on Earth because it was sunny all the time, they had Oreos and Disneyland and every house had a pool plus Pokemon Yellow had just come out there on the gameboy and wasn't out in the UK yet. Then I grew up and was very disappointed at the truth.

Can I come with you? That sounds almost worth going to a place full of maniacs for.

Lies. A bit of Yellowstone National Park bleeds into MT from Wyoming. It's the people in those red middle places you want to avoid, the scenery is breathtaking.

Can't speak for the others but for me its 1. wanting to make light of it bc I am so fkin tired of having to be angry about everything the clown is doing and 2. Wanting to believe that the most sacred part of a Democracy - its elections- will hold. And of course the problem with that in many ways is more down to Dems allowing for the belief in the election process to override the belief there was some kind of fraud - i. E. Gore and Hillary ceding to the opponent for a much much smaller difference in votes than in this case. So that alone is flawed I guess....

Aaand..now im scared again.
