I feel that football has had his pinnacle a couple of years ago. Might be that there was no atmosphere in the stadium, but this game did not feel like a game between champions to me. All the time players on both sides sinking to the ground as if they were struck by lightning, there is a long list of players that I cannot stand (Neymar, Mbappe, Lewandowski, Kimmich and many others), modern 1v1 duel in soccer is getting involved with your body, then trying to make it look like a foul and I could name so much more.

Maybe I am too old for this shit.
Agree. But don't focus too much on one factor: there are so many great reasons to give up on football. For me, there's so much distasteful nonsense in the modern game that I've severely cut back on the amount I watch/attend. This CL final did nothing to sway me.

Glad Bayern won but this game has reminded me about everything I hate about modern football.

Those PSG tears should be bottled and commercialized! Would be a new revenue stream for them!

Hans Flick doesn’t like the limelight. Good lad.

Remember when people said Perisic and Boateng weren't good enough for us.

Commentator said Pool will receive an extra 5m for Coutinho now.

How has Hargreaves not mentioned the fact he and Davies are both from Alberta and have both won the CL in their first seasons as first team regulars at 19/20 years of age.

The best team won and really it’s a good thing for football. Disappointed in Neymar, I thought he would do more tonight especially after I’ve defended him so much lately.

I do agree with a poster above, European refs (football refs in general tbf) really detract from the overall sport and entertainment. Sure tactical fouls are useful but they ruin the game completely. It makes me sound old fashioned but football was a far better sport when tactics were less considered and the most talented players could really put on a show. All the play acting and gamesmanship takes away the shine, and the worst thing is VAR could actually solve that which would be the only thing to make it worthwhile.

Lewandowski would have scored a hat trick with Neymar or Mbappe's chances tonight.
Stats repeatedly show that he's actually not that clinical. I mean, he probably should've scored one tonight.

The way Neymar is reacting is why they didn't win and might not win it. They don't have enough in their team who are up for a battle.
