Because he'll take Kehrer's attention away from Davies and allow Davies more space and time on the ball. Perisic isn't as much of a threat on the ball Coman is. Yeah, Perisic has better movement and might be more of a goal threat, but it's not like Coman offers no goalscoring threat.
