2018 Redcafe NFL Fantasy League

I think Ridley going to be very productive with Julio, Sanu and the RB’s creating space for him. 100 yard night tonight.
Hope so yeah, I'm just worried he won't see many targets at all with a great receiver, a good receiver and two pass-catching backs before him in the pecking order.

The talent is obviously there though.

I personally think they’ll use him early because teams will zero in on the others. Sanu could be trade bait in a couple of weeks.

Wentz isn't playing this week so you don't have to worry about QB. Sanders could have a great year, the addition of Sutton (and a fully healthy DT again) means Sanders will have less attention on him. Not to mention that the Broncos seem to be transitioning Sanders to the slot position, and Keenum loves throwing to slot receivers (Thielen had 1,200+ yards last season). Don't start Cooper against this Rams' secondary. Penny will still be behind Carson on the depth charts after his finger injury.

I'd go for Conner instead of Burkhead personally. You're already starting a RB1 and arguably two RB2s, so I struggle to see where and when Burkhead would fit into your team.

I'm also thinking of adding Conner in another league but I don't know who to drop in my team, maybe Calvin Ridley... Also deciding on Saints or Lions D, feck me this is tough and it's only week 1

So Sanders over Mike Evans, then? Or Sanders over Ajayi?

I'd go Sanders over Evans, yeah, especially since Evans has Fitzpatrick throwing him the football and will be covered by Lattimore this week. Sanders could blow hot or cold though and doesn't have the easiest of matchups either (at least on paper, I think no one knows how good this depleted Seahawks D is at the moment).

I'm also playing a league with some mates in the office.

I'm struggling to decide the starters in some positions.

QB: Kirk Cousins
WR: Davante Adams
WR: Mike Evans
RB: Alvin Kamara
RB: LeSean McCoy
TE: Jimmy Graham
FLEX: Jay Ajayi
K: Stephen Gostkowski
DEF: LA Rams

Bench: Carson Wentz, Rex Burkhead, Rashaad Penny, Amari Cooper, Emmanuel Sanders, Julian Edelman.

So I'm really, really not sure who to start in several positions. I think Davante Adams will be good with Rodgers, so he's a lock for now. Mike Evans plays for probably the worst team in the league. So I'm thinking of starting Amari Cooper or Emmanuel Sanders. But Oakland seem to be disintegrating, and Sanders seem to be on the decline in a not so good team. Burkhead ahead of Ajayi? Or even throw Rashaad Penny in the mix?
Also, I believe Cousins will have a good season with the potentially great players around him in Minnesota, but Wentz doesn't throw as many interceptions.

Feckkkkkk, I've missed this time of year!
I think that is a strong team tbh. Only player on your bench i would be tempted to start is Sanders at this stage. Cooper is playin against a very good Rams D this week.

Hm. Decisions, decisions. The upside with Evans is probably higher imho, but then again, the bucs are going 2-14, so there's no way of knowing how he'll do, especially in the beginning. But then again, it's not PPR, so Sanders as a slot receiver lose some value as well.

No. Bear in mind that Diggs and Thielen are excellent route runners, excellent on contested catches and adds yards after the catch. It's best to wait and see.

2 TDs for Ajayi. Thanks!

Edit: Just seen he also got a two point conversion.

Bloody useless my Matt Ryan throwing uncatchable balls all night. Julio could have had a HUGE night.

He got you 28 points, stop complaining!

Also please can you insert a picture/avatar for your team on ESPN, its messing with my head.

Did you see him throw out of the end zone a million times in a row, it was Bortlesesque.

So Just as far as the international fantasy football league goes. Week 1, I'm up against Harry Kane.

Ridley Me This Freeman (Me) vs The English Patriot (Harry Kane)
QB: Luck vs A.Rod
RB1: Lamar Miller vs Shady
RB2: D.Cook vs K.Hunt
WR1: Julio (28pts) vs Jordy Nelson
WR2: Fitzgerald vs D. Thomas
WR3: K. Stills vs C. Meredith
TE: Rudolph vs Kelce
Flex: Tarik Cohen vs Beastmode
K: Tucker vs Zuerlein
D: Ravens vs Eagles (10 points)

I'm fairly confident I've got the beat down on him. But we will see. It is PPR. I was debating having Tarik Cohen or Robby Andersen as my flex, but I reckon against Detroit He'll have Slay follow him and I don't think he'll go that well.

Sake not keeping on top of it at all time means I have Sanders on bench and Fuller started. Prob cost me the week 1 win.

My line spread was +8.4 and yet am up by 56 points

Did not see that coming though but I am expecting big things from Ajayi this season.

I had Goodwin with zero too

I need 22 points from Gurley I believe? Could he close

if I were to trade Wentz for a RB or WR - hypothetically Wentz is ready week 2 or 3. What RB/WR is a fair trade in your opinions? Just to see what I could roughly get in return.

Obviously it depends on team circumstances.

How many teams in the league? I dont think QBs have huge trade values unless they are Rodgers or the league is deep/2QBs play.

Doubt you'll get much for Wentz before he's back. You're better off waiting until he is back and if he shows that he's back to last years level you may get a RB2 or WR2. There's tons of good QB options this year so you may struggle.

I’m just looking for a RB/WR2 or top flex piece tbh. Just wondering if that’s general consensus.

I know it’s rough but I’ll just wait for the inevitable big QB injury (sorry guys :wenger:)

Agree with this

Down 19 points... have Rams defence and Zuerlein to play, @backofthenet has Cooks... Probably lost. I blame fournette getting injured and Buffalo being so trash that Collins was rested before he could do much

Some serious point's scored between the two of us. I couldn't believe how little Hogan got last night. 1 target, 1 reception for 11 yards. But Rivers, Kamara and Evans scored BIG points. I was really worried last night when in the first quarter Hill got 18.8 points. Fortunately he slowed down a bit. I'm hoping that Cooks gets a couple of big targets which should take it out of your reach, but its been a cracking match up.

Tell me about it. Have Hogan and Baldwin as my main 2 receivers in my other league... feck me  Have hope in my 3rd league with Cooks and Gurley left to play so I'm conflicted. Win in one, lose in the other if he does well. Probably going to lose in all 3 the way the weekend has gone

And if you look at the scoreboard you'd probably have won all but one of the other matches. Anyway, who knows it could be a shut-out victory, with 10 field goals and a 1st snap concussion for Cooks ;)

John gruden will run the ball so much Cooks wont be on the field long enough to score :wenger:
