2018 PGA and Golf in General

Has anyone ever been to Gleneagles btw? We have a conference there in June. Is it near the beach or inland?

Jon Rahm is one for the future. Looks like a great talent.

Team Fowler over here.
I think Reed drops one before the end, Ricky only needs one birdie for a playoff imo

Played Reed!

Just realised Fowler is dating the cafs favourite pole vaulter:lol:

The look on Reed's face after every shot is priceless...

He is a slow player ffs.

Well... She’s flashy.
She's southern, therefore she's gonna look like a Lily Pulitzer advert any time there's something fancy going on.

She's smart though. She has 2 undergrad degrees, was a registered nurse, was an amateur footballer, and served as his caddie a for couple seasons.

Fair enough! Her outfit just happened to catch my eye. Nice to hear that she has lots of qualities.

Also, congratulations to Patrick! It’s a well-deserved win. He was gritty today and coped with the pressure. Rory wasn’t able to do that.

Reed was due a major win I guess, he's too good a player not to get it sooner or later. So is Fowler of course, who missed out by a hair once again. Poor guy. It was probably tougher than Reed would've liked with a scrappy final round but he held his nerve, deserved winner.

As for McIlroy, another massive failure here. In a round were the conditions were very good, lots of other players had the sort of round that would've given him the green jacket, yet he falls apart and shoots one of the highest rounds of the day. That has to go down as a huge and worrying disappointment. Perhaps he shouldn't be talking about pressure before a final round again, he's not very good with it.

Reed showed some serious nerve. Well deserved in the end but man it would have been crazy if Speith took it. Really hope Fowler gets some majors under his belt now.. bridesmaid slam has an awful ring to it

Not really a fan of Reed (probably down to his Ryder Cup wumming), but he held it together.

It was there for Rory to take right back at the 2nd hole and he seemingly never recovered from missing that putt.

I think everyone was rooting for Fowler or Spieth to win rather than Reed. Even McIlroy was getting a better reception on the tees!

Credit to Patrick Reed though, played phenomenally over the 4 days.

Gleneagles is inland mate. I've played all 3 courses there and have to say the Queens course although fairly short is 1of the most picturesque courses i've ever played and because it is short it gives even the high handicapper a chance to shoot a decent number. I didn't enjoy the centenary course at all, we played off the medal tees and it was just too long plus it's not as established as the Kings and Queens so seemed to lack a certain charm.

Funny that Reed is more popular in Europe than three miles from home.

Os it just me or could this be one of the best Ryder Cup´s ever in terms of the pure talent on both sides. Rory is back. Ian Poulter is back in form. The problem is we need a token French Gallagher. :p

Two years ago wasn't bad either. We had Pieters making the best ever Ryder Cup debut and we're unlikely to get as good a singles match as the one between Rory and Reed any time soon. No Poulter heroics and we lost, so we don't have too many fond memories of course.
