That's game I'm afraid unless Gilbert turns into Frank Reich reincarnate. Shame that McCoy goes out as we'll always have the what-ifs. It would probably have been 10-0 with him in the game and having stopped Bama three straight times who knows.

why did Gilbert try to take down that fat guy by holding on to his torso, he should lock on to his legs.
 
Never have I seen an injury in a game of such importance totally alter the momentum and tempo. Texas was shutting down Alabama's run game, containing the receivers and had three sacks then it all goes down hill. That penalty that negated a TD after McCoy had been out a couple plays really dented the momentum and allowed Alabama to regroup. That was a key series.
 
I kinda wanted Texas to win, but I don't mind this happening to Mack Brown. That asshole coached at North Carolina. So screw him. :lol:
 
Need a big play on defense, like a turnover or blocked punt, something to get the ball in Alabama territory. Classic choke job if 'Bama feck this up. I fecking hope they do. Their fans are a bunch of inbreeds, every fecking one of 'em. And living in SEC land sucks ass.

Yes, but I can't like someone who coached them. Going to Duke and being a Duke fan before that kinda prevent me from liking anyone associated with the school. It does make it much more epic to be playing the defending national champions next season...

Ok, these refs are ridiculous. Could they be much more in the SEC's pocket? Multiple bullshit calls going Alabama's way. Missing 2 pass interferences and then calling one on an uncatchable ball. feck the SEC.

Hey, we have been working our way from awful for the past two decades into mediocrity. This season, we got solidly into the mediocre category of football teams. I'm not saying we're good or great, but we're at least not terrible. We almost, and should have, beaten Virginia Tech. We've got a solid coach who's bringing in pretty decent recruits and knows how to coach quarterbacks(Mannings). At least Duke is taking it more seriously...
 
Spurrier would be great to have as a part of the Athletics department. He helped recruit Cutcliffe and always helps us out. I'm not sure he should be coach because of his age. Other than that, he could be a great aid to the program.

If I wouldn't be the only person posting, I'd start a basketball thread...
 
If Texas pulls this off...Gilbert will be the new Tim Tebow. I don't think I can handle that for 4 years...
 
Got to give it to Gilbert. You know he probably didn't take a snap in practice for this game. Probably ran the scout team. I put it in the other college thread but Bama should have been able to put this away. Boise St for Nat Champs.
 
If Alabama lose this it's a classic choke job for all-time.

Gilbert won't get the Tebow hype if they win as he's not a golden boy like Tebow was coming into college. But it would be a great springboard for his career.
