However, you could save bandwith and money/time by no longer having the General Discussion Forum. It`s fun but not necessary, so why don`t you do yourselves a favour and close that section of the cafe?

absolutely ludicrous idea

next

(great post by noodlehair  )

Fine - this thread seems to have caused some extreme reactions in people  but having been a member of the redcafe longer than some people here (note I say, `some`) I recall the cafe being revamped at one time to exclude the Manchester United content - news, features, other great aspects - to save labour and bandwidth.

That aspect of the redcafe was more valuable than the general forum but it was discontinued for reasons of convenience. To Richter and anybody else who actually made a response to my initial post - thanks.

To certain posters on this thread who can`t put together a coherent response without the predictable, vocabulary-challenged `responses` - enjoy the view from your first grade elementary school classroom. Like David Beckham, you`ve got brains you know.

thats because your idea for saving money by getting rid of the general chat forum is seen as extreme by the majority of respondents in this thread and because they disagree with you it doesen't mean they are "vocabulary-challenged"
and incoherent, it is just their opinions and I think you'll find that if a poll was held on this issue that their opinions would be in the majority

Well done Number 7 (your name gives away a bit too much about yourself, poor love, if it`s the departed David Beckham you named yourself after).

My sincere congratulations to you on having the kind of written English ability and `sense of humour` that draws the linguistically and intellectually challenged fans of other clubs such as DJS to this rednet cafe.

One can imagine David Beckham having such a broad vocabulary, too.
:tard:

This wasn't done to save money, bandwidth or hardrive space. It was done because Niall ould no longer put the massive effort required to keep the place updated and in any case the forum had become the reason most people came here.

Apart from the fact that the general forum gives the place life it also keeps the fart threads out of the football forums in much the same way that the transfer forum keeps the insane in a warm cozy environment where they can only harm themselves with their deranged ramblings.

The General Forum is staying open ladies and gents. This thread however; is not.
