¿If, not, Ten, Hag, Pochettino, or, Rangnick, then, whom?

I saw my mate the other day,
He said to me he saw the white Pele,
So I asked, who is he?
He goes by the name of Wayne Rooney.

A club the stature of Utd should be able to get their number 1 choice manager, if he is willing to come.

We should not be contemplating also rans when quite clearly our first two options are willing to come!

Obviously Gerrard

My real list would be:

1. Ten Hag
2. Enrique
3. Rangnick
4. Simeone
5. Galtier
6. Poch

If all else fails, i'd quite happily jump aboard the Rooney hype train and strap in for a few bumpy years.

If not Ten Hag, Pochettino or Rangnick then whom? Ermmm, Zidane? Emery? Valverde? Allegri?

Enrique. If not him then pay a stupid amount for Zidane. If he says no too then I'd just go with Carrick as interim again and see how he does.

It will be Poch or Ten Haag.....my preference is the latter but i feel the board will want premier league experience and will favour Poch.

David Moyes makes the most sense, and he would offer long term commitment. But it's good to have a contingency plan so if it didn't work out I like what LVG is doing right now with the Netherlands.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is available and I think Mourinho would leave Roma to manage us

I have concerns it could be Fletcher and Ralf is training him up.

If we get top 4 and ETH isn't available I'd favour sticking with Ralf over another change.

Enrique would be fantastic, not sure he would be interested though.

How's his English? A left-field one with suspect English would be Marcelo Gallardo. No idea why he hasn't moved to Europe yet.

I would love Luis Enrique to become our next permanent manager. His team play beautiful football and I believe he can manage all the big egos. I would take Enrique over Poch and Ten Haag. Enrique has won everything and will bring a winning mentality into the dressing room.

I feel Ten Hag, Poch, and Rangnick all want the job. Just a matter of who we decide to go with out of the three of them - seems unlikely any of them would turn us down.

Luis Enrique. Let Rangnick stay for 18 months, then get Enrique in for 2023/24.

I'd like to see what a proper old school manager would do with this lot of whinging under-achievers......

I give you..............Neil Warnock! :)

It would be hilarious if we brought back Mourinho, but that seems unlikely.

If not Ten Hag, it’s got to be Enrique. The tomfoolery of the last decade surely has run its full course.

I'll have a go but if they don't match my wage demands then Enrique or Potter are next best imo.

I want our next manager to be heavily training pitch/coaching focused.

So if it's not Ten Haag, a talented coach like Graham Potter would be my choice

Sorry for the not very constructive answer but I am past the point of caring to be honest. Feel like the club have really let the fans down and owe it to us to bring in the best available coach. Ten Haag is currently considered to be the best attainable coach out there right now and surely the only one who could possibly overthrow Pep and Klopp.

That sounds petty to say Ten Haag or nothing but anyone else then what’s the difference? There are very few special managers in the world and that’s what we need otherwise it will just be more of the usual top 3 to 8 finishes.

Be original, go for the little guy. Arne Slot. He's Ten Hag, but with charisma and better hair.

I like what Von Bronckhorst is doing with Rangers in Scotland. He was also successful in the Netherlands. I like the idea of hiring a young, upcoming manager who can be there for decades and offer stability. I would certainly want to interview him and have a good look.

If potter had the backing -not just financial- and was confident enough to play his way and get his type of players in, then I’d take him in a heartbeat.

I like Hassanhutl but I think he should be the choice after the next guy providing he doesn’t shit the bed in the meantime.

Its going to be Poch or Ten Hag though. If neither of them want it, I think we’ll offer it to Rangnick until one of them does.

That is what i think too

They don't cry like a little girl when they win.

Football managers, level headed and calm individuals...

I'd be surprised if it was anyone outside of either Rangnick, Pochettino or Ten Hag. And I'd be happy enough, given other options, with either of the last two.

Beyond them, there's a few that are either less likely or that I'd be less happy with. Enrique is an example of the former, Rodgers the latter.

With Graham Potter somewhere in the middle of all the options. I'm a big fan of his since hearing of him during his success in Sweden, so I'm pleased to see how well he's done at Swansea and Brighton. But they're very different jobs to us and it's whether he's got the ego / aura / CV, etc, to be the man to get us to that next level?
