Not sure Dalot on for Sancho was the right call, both in terms of the game but also Sancho's confidence

Feel Varane on for one of Bruno or Pogba and go 5 at the back with Sancho as a wing back might of been better, would have made us stronger at the back and still give us the running power on the wings

Agree with this. Need pace and players who can take people on when down to 10 men.

Am I going mad, why is this game early? I thought that was for games in Russia. Either way, better late than never. I’m here for the second half.

Good thing i check in 5 mins ago otherwise i would have sat down after the final whistle.

Chelsea didn't struggle after James went off against Liverpool, so obviously no.

Our lack of structure is getting exposed even more after the red card.

Tuchel could be down to 9 men and still set up his team in a way that they wouldnt concede. Fantastic manager.

Greenwood for Ronaldo. We need workrate. Everyone need to run that extra 15%. Can't carry anyone.

feck sake.... didn't take long did it?

Sorry to upset the fanboys, but Ronaldo barely ever put in a defensive shift. Young Boys are finding it easy in the build up with us being one man down, and with Pogba and Ronaldo on at the same time. Just facts.

I think we need Greenwood, atm we aren't dangerous from the flanks at all
Also,I cannot believe some people thinke Ronaldo should be subbed. One player who can change the outcome of the game out of nowehere

I'm not talking about getting sent off per se.

I'm talking about getting sent off because of a chronic inability to control the ball properly despite that being an obvious weakness for the duration of his career. That doesn't happen to the best, because by virtue of being the best, they can control a football.
Everybody's been struggling with the ball on that shitty pitch, what on earth are you on about?

We need someone up top that is willing to press as Ronaldo isn't going to harry the entire back line. Drop into a 432 and bring Greenwood or Elanga on. Probably DvB off with Fred, Pogba and Bruno as the midfield 3.

It’s because Chelsea have the midfield and we don’t. I look at both teams and overall they are close we are better in attack and defense but there CM is miles ahead

That was definitely a red for me. Could have been an ankle breaker with another recipient or a little more force. His first red for the club, probably slipped just a little on that terrible excuse of a 'turf'. Wouldn't blame him too much for that.

Very aggressive away crowd to match an aggressive, physical side who look like they have the energy of Leeds while sitting back and setting up counters. Our inability to play the ball through the middle is slowing down the game, and now with a man down it will be a difficult second half. I'd be pleased if we walked away with a win.

Our players are slipping all over the place and you can see that the pitch has put in a little doubt in all our players when passing into space - we're resorting to long balls instead. These are far more difficult conditions than we'd usually expect. We need to adapt to the surface and the red card very quickly in the second half. I think taking Sancho off was a good call - he was having a terrible game. A lot rests on our midfield and full backs in the second half - and if we can find the regular ball to Bruno/CR7 when they inevitably leave space forward. A little pace in the form or Greenwood wouldn't hurt, especially if we concede an equalizer.

Seems like the simple fix at this point actually is to just pull Pogba into a midfield three with Bruno and Ron up top. But what do I know.

Looking at the bench, if Donny is subbed off, we are only going to get overrun in midfield.
Matic can come on and do a job, but taking off either Donny or Fred will leave us wide open.

    RAWK level delusion.

Right, so when someone disagrees with your opinion, it must mean their opinion is extreme. Is that not the definition of RAWK level delusion in itself .

Donny just cannot catch a break. Off for Varane when Pogba's been barely involved and we still have Fred on the pitch.

Let’s see how good our Manager is now
We saw what Tuchel did when they went to 10men against Liverpool
We need to put an extra defensive midfielder on and put a fast forward on for counter attacking

We have a very difficult task in the second half if we're going to continue to play like that after the red. We need to just get the ball down and keep it.

Before the red it was fine. We didn't look amazing but I always kind of expect some complacency from our team when we play "weaker teams" in Europe. That plus the pitch made it harder than it appears on paper.

Would have taken off Pogba or Fernandes for rest instead of Sancho though. Strange call imo.
