He does exactly what you'd want from a player in a double pivot. True, he's not fancy. But that wouldn't be his role.
Double pivot is a position that asks for good stamina, hard tackling, top press resistance and excellent long range passing. There are very few players in Europe who can match Neves on those specific attributes.
If you're asking for #6 in a midfield three, he's probably not top quality. Even in this Wolves team, he doesn't necessarily stand out. But Ole asks for something different from his midfielders. That's what allows our fullbacks, #10 and even centrebacks so much time and freedom on the ball.
