Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • Evans is in far better form and should be starting over him. Can only be that he's not fully fit.
It would be very daft to play a CB partnership that you cannot maintain some sort of chemistry with. I can understand it as a one off but not going forward as an interim. You never get a settled back 4 that way.

A De Ligt-Martinez partnership is far more worthwhile developing for the medium-long term than Evans-whoever.
I think it's unlikely that will be our long term partnership. Just play the best we have.

No Ugarte after his best performance for us? I fecking hate this manager.
Casemiro and Eriksen have been ok lately. But don`t think they have the legs to play so often. Ugarte should definitely start more. Get a chance to grow into it.

Really hope AWB doesn't have a good game and just waves Rashford/Garnacho past him.
He’ll likely own Rashford in the one on one situations.

We just have to hope that he’ll have a couple of moments where he switches off and it’s his positioning that lets him down allowing Rashford to take advantage off the ball

We've had a pretty consistent starting lineup this season to be honest. Just minor week to week changes.

Feck it it’s West Ham and they have been truly crap so far this season.
I’m going for a Bullish 1-3 win with Garnacho bagging a brace and Rashford opening the scoring.

Sorry for this but I'm just here to say feck Viasat and Amazon prime and everything about them..

Viasat: "Yea you're not going to be able to watch every PL game this season even though you're paying us more than ever for it, but don't worry, we've only sold the rights to the early game on Saturday's."
Also Viasat: "Oh there wasn't an early game on Saturday? Well then we'll just take one of the games on Sunday instead which will obviosuly be the United game. Aren't we kind for only charging you half a fortune for this shit?"

I don't think Ugarte has shown enough to deserve to start.
United usually struggle after long away trips in Europe, so it's a case of playing players who didn't start the game. Casemiro plays in the PL and Ugarte gets a start in the slower paced Europe game. Both games planned to keep fresh players.

The is pretty much exactly what I'd expect in the circumstances.

I probably would have given Ugarte a shot in midfield over Casemiro but I didn't expect Ten Hag to. That's the major area of concern.

Amad was never getting a start as we had once decent attacking game from Rashford and Garnacho together and he'll stick with that until one is unavailable.

Basically his first XI minus Shaw. I’m sure we’ll see some comfortable exciting football

I don't think Ugarte has shown enough to deserve to start.
Unlike Casemiro, who we know for a fact hasn't shown enough to start. One is new, needs to get game time to settle, and has potential to grow.

One was world class but is now an utter liability, sadly.

Always so much entitlement with starting XI's. If a manager doesn't select the exact XI players you want he's a cnut apparently.

I remember when Casemiro arrived and he barely played him for the first couple of weeks. At the time, I could respect that because McTominay had started well and I think it’s fair to let players in form keep their place, maybe more so when they’re less fancied players.

Now though with Ugarte and Amad, it feels like it’s stubbornness. Or maybe even sending a message to the people that bought Ugarte in. I can’t really see any logic in what he’s doing, from either a short or a long term view. Casemiro has done little to justify a place this season, and Rashford the same. It feels like he’s just hoping something will click with little rationale behind it.

If we can't beat this lot, we might as well pack up and go home, forget the season, forget football. And I have nasty feeling that a shite performance is on the. That said, I felt we controlled the past three games quite well and if we had a top goal-scorer could have won all three

The back 5 is looking familiar and that has been somewhat of a plus point for the season so far.

I'm happy to go with that front 3 today...and pencil them in as the first choice frontline for in the league.

But the midfield still looks like a huge weakness, and one that can't be forgiven due to age or inexperience.

C'mon United just fluke another win today please

They will keep squeezing out more money out of us every year. Because they can. I am one of the nutters paying for both.

How Ugarte will settle if we don't play him regularly?

Its a ridiculous situation. A 50m midfielder, sitting on bench into November, while casemiro - the most obvious issue in our side last year - plays next to eriksen.

I don't think it's stubbornness at all. I think with Ugarte, the plan is to slowly integrate him into the team and with Casemiro being available, it gives Ugarte the time to properly adjust without him being rushed in. Remember he's not had a proper pre-season to get match fit and also learn the patterns of play so I think it's sensible.

With Amad, he can think he's a little unlucky with game time so far. I think he'll get plenty of minutes but Garnacho and Rashford are both in decent form so no real issue. A think a lot will depend on how ETH wants his RW to play. Amad drops in the pocket more whilst Rashford and Garnacho are more direct and go past the CF as more inside forwards
