I still feel that unlocking these low blocks are too much of a challenge for us. And the lack of urgency and sufficient energy amazes me.

Is it truly an egoistic understanding by the coaching staff that they don't need to hire a top tier specialist for getting these low block unlocking patterns into practice?
And set pieces, we should be at least getting 1-2 shots on target DIRECTLY from the corner. Again, it seems to lack a top tier specialist in this section.

It’s been a decent half. We’ve created a couple of very good chances and definitely giving their defenders a problem. Ronaldo’s had a couple of chances, Bruno’s hit the post and even AWB had a good effort which was saved well by Fabianski. Still a concern when West Ham go forward, they look very dangerous despite being without their focal point - Antonio.

Nees to get Fernandes and Pogba more on the ball in the attacking third.

Fred is becoming a Liability. How many times has he lost the ball and they are countering ?

Fred passing is so bad. It's always feel rushed. His touch is heavy. Not sure what we saw to pay 52m for him

Fred..... how can this man part of XI. Week in week out putting in 4 - 6 rating. VDB can't get single game. What is Ole watching????
Football Manager probably. I have no idea why Fred is undroppable. Is he best pals with Ole or what? VDB showed more skill in that Young Boys game than Fred has done for months and he hardly ever plays. We don't need a world beater in midfield, ffs, all we need is a guy who can pull a simple pass.

Man United the better side in that half, the stats speak for themselves 64% possession, 7 shots on target. West ham goal via a lucky deflection.

Some bright bursts here and there, some very sloppy defending and glaring positional mistakes.

Maguire needs to get back to his best sharpish. Looking poor next to Varane and Shaw.

Really entertaining football game with two good, positive sides. I think we're playing very well. If not for a lucky deflection we'd have been looking at a very convincing lead at a tough away ground. I back us to win.

We're a very good side. Our build up, especially through the flanks have been brilliant and has been a feature since last season. Remember the PSG away game. I actually think we are a bit too patient in the final third. We need to shoot more on the edge of the box. Greenwood looks so silky on the ball. Sancho would be good to break the intricate lines.

Just watching that replay of their goal again, wtf was Fred doing? He should have tracked the player , but instead tried to tackle the ball when he was never going to get it, and outside of the penalty box as well - he is more likely to give away a free kick on the edge of the box rather than get that ball.

Erectile Dysfunction must be dangerously common in America considering how often they advertise a cure for it in their commercials.

Credit to the lads for how they responded going behind, but why do we need to go behind for us to start playing and showing some desire?.
Oh and thank God for Ronaldo because his goals are saving us at the moment.

We were getting into the game more before they scored. We created chances and could have scored before they did.

AWB and Fred has to be replaced. Fred is just poor. We have a world class striker who is good in heading but AWB doesn't even think of crossing it.

Hey Ole, do we practise crossing during training? Can we put in Dalot?

AWB has been arguably our best defender, what are you talking about

    Ronnie again

We're playing fine overall. Really lucky goal for WH.Second half FC will see us through.

We've been quite good since they scored, buildup looks much more fluid and AWB actually looked great going forwards. Bruno in particular has been fantastic, controlled and then aggressive when necessary. Hope we can score quickly in the second I am not in the mood for an arseclenching

fred has been good? why are people moaning about his passing when he’s given it away twice  anyway

Greenwood is gliding around the pitch looking very dangerous. He'll be some player in a year or two.

Pogba has been very good and from his role on the left he's dropping into midfield in defensive transition which is helping with progressing play.

Dont speak too much sense on here pal, they’ll have you…

Rice would clearly be an upgrade on Fred, but can it be said Rice has dominant today?

And if we did bring in Rice, wouldn’t Ole just with with McRice?

They’re dominating West Ham’s though? They’re pushed further and further back and only have the odd counter forward.
I'd say that's been more a testament to our fullbacks getting forward well (Shaw and AWB have been very good this half IMO) and Greenwood being excellent.

Best half of the season for us that against a pretty good side.

We concede so many deflected goals, that's two deflections already this season that have nestled right into the bottom corner.

Fred the weak-link again. Hasn't been terrible but just too limited in possession.

Greenwood, Pogba, Bruno and Ronaldo been excellent

That's unfair. We were playing well before West Ham had 5 minutes of possession and scored a freak goal. Since then we've upped the tempo and battered them, but its not like we were playing badly before then.

God. I hate Richard Keys. I only watch the prem on BeIn because I'm not paying for it.

Keys: "1-0 for West Ham. Not the greatest defending from a World Cup winner is it?"

De Jong:" Well, it's actually good defending, he's trying to block it, he's just unlucky with the deflection. It happens"

feck me, Fred passing is so bad. He fecking gave the ball away twice.....

Feels like we will never get a clean sheet again

We conceed screamers Strange goals and Deflections ever game.

We've had 7 shots on target in the first half. The most by any side in the PL this season. How exactly are we struggling to create chances?

We've also just hired a specialist set piece coach in the Summer.

Ronaldo is ridiculous. That shot from that tight angle was a laser. Brilliant save from Fabianski. Also incredible save from Bruno’s volley.
