They've been there for 112 years, they aren't a small club. Historically they're pretty big.

Police made them walk from the Madejski to Reading station, a couple of miles, in torrential rain after the game surrounded by horses & dogs.

Paid for by the tax payer, effectively. Arsenal built a new stadium and couldn't invest properly in their squad for almost a decade while they paid down the debt. West Ham have moved stadium and are instantly £12M per year in profit.
