the injuries unsettled the team. otherwise this would have been routine. our concern is how fast we get our players back.

Rojo is a good defender. That penalty was stupid of course but even the top players make mistakes like that. Plus when first teamers are injured most teams will play makeshift players. Our defence is good enough. Smalling, DDG and Shaw are amazing. Blind Jones Rojo and Darmian are good enough for any good side and Valencia and Young are good back ups. McNair is 20. I don't know how you got to he isn't good enough for United. You talk as if all teams have Baoteng as their fourth choice CB.

What a great result considering Watford's second half determination and our rather depleted starting eleven. Stunning performance from De Gea who seems to be pulling off world class saves just about every match. Would be lovely if the FA decide Schweinsteiger's shot would have crept in near the far post had the opposition not touched it. Either way, I am really pleased with this result - sets us up nicely going into our Champions League game on Wednesday.

yeh but wright is talking utter bollox (as usual). he knows nothing about goalkeeping, he refuses to listen to James' explanation and just thinks he is right about everything (and he is SO wrong here). Never a great fan of James either as a keeper or a pundit but Wright is an arrogant arse

That's quite harsh, especially considering the circumstances. We had an injury crisis even before the game started and then had to cope with two new injuries during the game, which led to us changing formation.

We also had chances to increase our lead, Lingard should have done much better with his two chances. The win is fecking vital and the result was the most important thing today. Moaning is a bit weird, just enjoy the win.

well lets agree to disagree on this, I believe we need more quality at the back, similar to what we had a couple of years ago with 4 world class players (DDG, Rio, Vidic and Evra), a quality RB (Gaz) + quality players like Rafael, Smalling and Jones acting as backup. The likes of Rojo, Mcnair and makeshift wingers are nowhere near to that level
