That's seemingly true. There seems to be a certain level of pride when we play tougher opponents, the players seems to have a point to make but it's not there in most games.I don't watch much anymore, and we clearly have a lot of bang average players...but what is the point of Lingard? Surely we have someone else, anyone else, even if just a youth team player who can at least get some game time and experience.Only way is up for the 2nd half cant get any worse can it?

It’s pretty obvious that the top teams don’t sit back and come at us leaving lots of space for the counter. We are clueless against sides that sit deep.

We start players like AWB, Shaw, Lindelof, Lingard, James and Martial and then sit here perplexed at being 8th.

Who would you start instead?It's very telling and typical that our one real chance came about from a totally ad hoc piece of play. Basically, a Watford player just passed it to Martial for some reason and he immediately put Lingard through.
Without such accidents, we can never build an actual, proper move.

They look the more likely to score at the moment.It's the same thing every week. We struggle to break teams down who like to sit back. I'd be inclined to bring one of Fred/McTominay and Lingard off for Pogba and Greenwood and go with a 442/4411.

terrible performance...especially from Lingard.I dont understand, why Lingard tried to lob the ball, when he could just roll it past the goalkeeper. He does not look at the goalkeeper at all, but has just decided to lob. He has not scored very long in the league and still he tries the hardest finish anyway.
The whole team has been playing slowly. And we have dropped the ball many, many timesI just cannot fathom how stupid Lingard is.
He's gone a full year without a goal in the league, he's completely one on one with the keeper and he attempts to lob him from outside the area. A really good player in great form would be unlikely to do that. Lingard is a shit player in horrendous form.

Maybe it’s time to go Lingard.United should get rid of Lingard and Martial this January. They are too lazy and soft for this United team. United should spend money on a more hard working and robust striker and a more skillful play- maker to replace them.We're just an odd team at the moment, who only look decent when teams come at us hard and leave acres for our sprinters to smash into.
Any normal team, we don't have enough to cut them open.Need to be a lot better in the second half if we want to win.
