    Lingard is piss poor to be honest.

    Lindelof is made for a back 3. Just keep him out of a 2 at all costs...
     
    sometimes Lingaard tries to be too clever. He should have laid a simple pass to Valencia then and we would have been away. Instead he delayed it and put us under pressure.

    I've seen better 1-0 performances from us. We've been extremely clinical, and have kept Watford out on the other end. That's about it. I stand by my characterization.

    Yep, he would have roamed in an open game like this. I was certain Mkhi would start. I m guessing his form is really shitty that Lingard starts over him.
     
    Lindelof deserves a praise. He looks completely different from what he was at the start of the season, solid, winning duels and always present in the right moment. Hopes he keeps up with this.
     
    Phew got away with one there, but overall good half. We started poorly but the first goal put us firmly in the driving seat.
     
    Was hoping we'd give them a game, what with them being such a class side and all.All the doom mongers thinking the worst;)

    I agree with you, mate. All performances would look better if your defender unexpectedly scores two worldies after a dry 18 months.

    Still enjoying it mind.
     
    Delighted with that at HT. Don't mean to sound greedy, but this game is open enough for us to truly make a statement - let's get 2-3 more second half!
     
    How are people slagging off Lingard? He's a great squad player to have. Hope he's here for a long time.
     
    He should sub Matic before he costs us, not fair doing this to him, midfield two and Pogba plays closer to Lingard then to Matic, same shit like in Chelsea.
     
    Having started poorly we turned that first half on its head when Young scored the first. Since then we have been totally dominant. Watford’s players seem to panic any time we press them. Delightful to see.
     
    Not watching the match, does playing Lingard bring more balance instead of Rashford, Martial together? How is the cohesiveness of the team?

    Lingard's shot was straight at Gomes. He put it the one place where it was likely to be saved. Pretty tight angle though, so not that easy to score.
