I just want Pogba and Zlatan to show their worth, they could give us hopes of a title race.

What I would want to see.

    De Gea
    Valencia Blind Bailly Shaw
    Schneiderlin Herrera
    Rashford Pogba Martial
    Ibrahomovic

But Jose will probably do something like thise.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Blind Shaw
    Fellani Pogba
    Mata Rooney Martial
    Ibrahimovic

    3-1 United

I really hope we smash them. Something like 4-0 or 5-0.

Would do wonders for the confidence going forward.

That said, I worry it'll be a cagey game again. Probably 2-0 with goals from Ibra and Rooney.

Look across town - City are outclassing teams left right and centre. Get spurred on by that, put your best football forward, and beat these teams by a few goals. I expect a response from Mourinho, Zlatan and Pogba.

    4-0 United.

Think people are going over the top because we lost a couple of games on the bounce.

I think the City was down to formation. We looked a lot better in a 433, and could have easily went away with a draw.

We were poor against Feyenoord, but sometimes that's to be expected when you make so many players into the team.

Apart from our last two games, we've looked pretty comfortable. I can imagine today will be the same, and we will go back to winning ways against Watford.

Watford (Ighalo) 1 - 3 Manchester United (Rooney x2, Pogba)

Noon kick off after Europa. I know its Sunday but still, piss off FA.

    Why?

2 losses on the bounce and this won't be an easy game either. A loss would be a disaster, you can see the disharmony creeping in on this forum so imagine how it will be if we lose tomorrow.

Hence my point why I think he'll set up defensively.

United have won every league game except against the team of the moment, City. I expect normal service to resume against Watford

Watford are absolutely horrendous at home against big teams and you're going there with a point to prove after a bad week. You'll fall behind in the first half, nab an equaliser just after half time and then take advantage of the inevitable Watford collapse fifteen minutes before the end. 2-1 United, Pogba to play a part in both of your goals.

    3-1 United

Smalling for Blind and maybe Darmian or Timothy Fosu-Mensah for Valencia.

    4-0 United.

They really aren't though. Du Byrne is outclassing teams, as he did us. Otherwise, City look mediocre. If we hadDu Byrne instead of Rooney, we would have destroyed the last two games.

There's a nervy feeling around this game as City are already hitting their stride and after 3 seasons of fairly miserable performances with the odd false dawn under LvG, confidence is low so the early wobble has fans on edge.

Hopefully we win this, if only to make this place bearable for a few days.

Not just City. The scousers look better than us, too.

This is absolutely a must-win game. Anything less and it will be time to start panicking (with regards to our title ambitions that is). That being said, I expect to see a good performance tomorrow. Watford have some good attacking players, especially since signing Pereyra who's a quality player. So, the main priority is in keeping a strong defence. I do think Smalling and Bailly will probably start but I wouldn't be too surprised by any combination of Smalling, Bailly, and Blind. Their defence on the other hand is still quite weak, even after bringing in Kaboul who isn't great either. I fancy Ibrahimovic to have a good display with at least one goal and probably more. Hope Pogba performs because frankly his last 2 performances haven't been acceptable. Time to put a marker down. We need to keep pace with City and hope that Spurs and Chelsea can take points off them. Don't see many small teams getting results against them.

I'd like to see that first line-up also. It looks like a "perfect" combination on paper.

    4-0 United.

I hope they don't do that. Let the Man City obsession only for the fans.

Cant believe Im saying this but I hope Rooney starts, has been our most influential attacker/attacking midfielder so far bar Zlatan (for his goals obviously). Pogba, Martial, Mata, Miki have been really dissapointing so far. Attackingly we look nothing special.

I hope you're right. I'm nervous given the last 2 games, along with us needing a last minute winner against Hull.

    This.

I watched them against chelsea and they played like Klopp; totally possessed. He must be injecting them with his blood or something.

City just seem to have woken up and realised that with that squad they SHOULD be shitting on everyone

Although I am not panicking (after 4 league games), I am worried that MCFC are pulling away from us.
I think they have a 100% win record in all games, which is super impressive.

We on the other hand have lost 2 games already, and there is no longer an obvious quick fix (ie. we can't buy the most expensive player in the World - we have this already; we can't hire a Galactico class manager - we have this already).
Basically, Woodward has done everything he can and now its up to the footballing people (players/manager/coaches) to get us winning.

If the poor performances continue, I may start believing in the curse theory.
After 4 games (now 5 of City) is a crucial part of your post.
Anything can still happen although we shouldn't let City slip away of course.

    Rashford, Zlatan, Martial
    Rooney
    Fellaini Pogba
    Shaw Bailley, Blind, Valencia

    Please

Smalling for Blind and maybe Darmian or TFM for Valencia.

Blinds passing out from the back, was one of the things missing on Thursday. And (despite all the caf-talk of his defensive capabilities or lack there off) we didn't look any less fragile in defense with Smalling alongside Bailly.

And why on earth start Darmian or TFM over Valencia? Neither of them is an improvement.

Today's game is really important. Lose and it's three defeats on the spin, confidence rapidly draining, questions over Mourinho and the players, not to mention falling six points behind City. Win and we're above the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, only three behind Pep. Feels like a vital day in building momentum.

I hope we see a motivated angry United from the start today

We need to be the team who are agressive, winning the 50/50s and we will beat Watford well

We stood off City in the first half last week and we let Feyenoord play their game on Thursday

We need a convincing win with a good scoreline - Id like this team today but Rooney will obviously play

I'm mating the dog today so hopefully that brings luck on the team.
1 - 0 United and lots of puppies.
