Hargreaves on BT still reckons Lingard deserves a chance.... seriously don't understand how anyone can still be of this opinion.
I think maybe 2/3 of our players performances warrant a place in the XIFair enough.
I just want to ask you, do you think Scott's performances over the last year or so warrant him a starting place in a top10 premierleague side? He is not starting for Scotland in midfield, so what makes him a Manchester United midfield starter?
Neither do I, but interesting that he has got a peek in. Sancho and VDB are understandable. Martial has shown nothing to get a chance.Dont have much confidence in him
I like that!
They didn't sit back and soak up at OT. No way they're doing it at home.
Overall not a bad line up.
Guess it gives us all another chance to marvel at how effortlessly Martial strolls around the place doing fcuk all.
Gives us more time to come to terms with it before bed.
Obviously, but why? This early kick offs are usually reserved for games in Russia, aren't they?Because someone scheduled it to that time.
I would like to think that Carrick playing a 4-3-3 would be telling scott you cant just sit there and hide next to your holding partner like he does many a time when they play that 4-2-3-1/4-2-4 abomination. You've either got to put in a real shift as a DM if hes the deepest of the three, or if hes going to be on the right side of the midfield to actually fulfill his box to box role
or maybe it's just the typical 4-2-3-1 again and he'll be shit.
He refused to play under a 'new' manager? Then he'll be refusing till Carrick's replaced? Doesn't make any sense.Or refused to play? He didn't look too happy at the end of the Watford game.
What happened?Jeez - Carrick throwing Bruno under the bus there
Ohh he's getting runover because Ole isn't at the wheel anymoreJeez - Carrick throwing Bruno under the bus there
What have any of these clowns done to deserve such trust?Just watching carricks on pitch interview and dear lord he just sounds like ole, trust the players blah blah blah
Lingard over Martial any day of the week. Twice on Tuesdays.
I can't believe it, they've stuck with McFred again.
This could very well happen. I like that he solidified the midfield though. Maybe Bruno could've played off the left Pogba style? Then again he's out of form.I'd have liked this line up better if it was not against Villarreal who are just going to sit back and soak up. That midfield is more balanced but is also lacking in firepower. Too many "safe" playing players out there who'd keep engaging in short exchanges. Bruno should have started just to make it more dynamic with his creative passes though I'd like for him to be dropped in bigger games against the likes of Chelsea wherein we may want more control on the ball.
Huh? I thought he came across quite well.Carrick already looking/sounding like an Ole, err I mean rabbit in the headlights
I think maybe 2/3 of our players performances warrant a place in the XI
Ops ban this man!!!!!for the first time ever, I have gone for a 2-1 loss, I never predict a loss on here, I hope I am wrong.
He’s out cause he banged his head in the last match.Pretty interesting team selection to say the least. I don't think we'd have seen this from Ole. Taking Shaw out for a CL game is very logical, Telles is probably okay in this competition and I think Luke needs a rest to consider his performances.
Probably the same for Fernandes.
I think if both are out of form you pick whoever fits the system better and in this case it's Scott.I agree with that, but ask yourself if you think there is no difference between one of our better players in the team in Bruno who is just in bad form, and Mctomminay(or even Martial) who are in poor form and haven't showed any quality for years now?
What happened?
Oh. That's less interesting. He’s out cause he banged his head in the last match.
Carrick bashing in the match day thread. Love it
Huh? I thought he came across quite well.
