We have to beat these lot and furthermore, we have to win that super cup as well which we seem to be cursed in trying to win.

For some reason I see these players as the most mature and well spoken. Sure they had a good talk with Sir Alex.

Interestingly you would have expected club captain Maguire to be there too... maybe he’s still doing everything he can to be ready?

Few goal victory. This will be straightforward. Trophy is ours.

Might already be posted here but our final training session is on the BT Sport YouTube channel right now. Assume it’s live.

    EDIT : Not Live.Link

I just finished watching The United Way, and now I wanna win more than anything.

Don't let us down tonight lads.

Did Maguire feature at any point?

Still clinging to hope that Ole's playing mind games and has every intention of starting Harry.

This is the 4th European final that I won't be able to watch live. It's always the shit inconsequential games that I manage to get time off work for. I hate working, I hate fiat currency. Love United. Let's go!

He’ll start if he’s fit and nothing less. We can’t go in against a Moreno type with a less than 100% fit defence

I've got the pre big game jitters - how ive missed them! It feels great to be in a final and i really want to see Ole get a trophy under his belt.

Hit them with an early goal to steady the nerves!

Can't covid-19 be your friend here??

    Agreed.

I was hoping that Maguire is fully fit, but Ole had chosen to keep that knowledge under wraps. It doesn't seem very likely though.

    So nervous now it's unreal.

Really hope we start well and if there are to be any goals, then I hope we're the ones who score first.

Hoping United can do me a huge favour tonight. Dad succumbed to cancer on Sunday morning, and dad would have been elated for Ole to get some silverware this season!

Sorry to hear that, mate. Condolences to you and your family. Really hoping the boys can get a win for your dad.

So sorry for your loss. I hope we win not least for your dad. Please leverage the forum if need be for any sort of chat, I hope you and your family are strong and your dad is in a better place.

Oh b#!#s is going to be Savage and flipping Jermaine Jenas on commentary today. :nono::nono:

Appears that Pogba will start on the left and Rashford will start on the right. I just don't like that as i think it limits the impact and effectiveness that Rashford can have. With that said, in his current form he probably shouldn't be starting anyway over Greenwood.

I'm a massive fan of Marcus but he's struggled all season with injuries and his form has been impacted by that. Greenwood has been scoring goals and in this tight game we need a clinical finisher on the wing.

But at the same time I hope we’re patient and not gung ho from the start then lose momentum if we don’t score.
Last years was a strange affair and Inter didn’t turn up until momentum was with Seville. When they did Seville kind of knew they could win it. We don’t want cagey but at the same time no foolish risks like playing stupid passes out the back. I think Villarreal will press there to exploit mistakes that Fred can make. They pressed Arsenal into playing very safe at the Emirates until Arsenal went for it.

would genuinely love to have alternative commentary options. 20 years ago you could listen to Radio 5 - with the digital delay you can’t these days. Jenus makes my teeth hurt.

Interesting. As long as we don't go 5 at the back it's exactly what I want

With the form the pair have been in together it would have been very hard to justify starring then both Imo

Be very surprised if Ole ditched McFred now. It's his go-to and although people have their disagreements over the two starting together, more often than not, especially in big games, the two have been pretty reliable.

Pogba and Scott as a pivot! We are going for jugular!

Edit. Question now becomes, how good are Villarreal on he press?
