    It is like we are a man down. We should have put Carrick there.

    Martial is making some great runs and Carrick is another player who can play then through balls to him.

    Fellaini offers us a threat in the air but it is not worth sacrificing a player who actually has some technical ability.
     
    We need to get the ball into Martial's feet. Hoofing it to him and expecting him to magically win aerial battles and control the ball is pointless.
     
    I'm not sure if it's the right decision to play Fellaini as an attacking midfielder and Schweinsteiger as the only CM. Left us too open. There's attacking and we may have journeyed towards reckless.
     
    Why are both Blind and Varela trying to prevent that ball coming in? Only need one of them for it.
     
    I've had enough, again. get rid of this manager and get somebody in who can build a squad. Can't even share the possession as a possession-based team against a club with none of our budget. Absolute disgrace.
     
    What in the feck was smalling doing there? Left varela on his own.
     
    All i want from this game is for us to show some balls and character to comeback, if we end up losing, fine, but please let's not bend over or go into zombie mode.

    We of all fans should know about the difference a manager can make to average players (Not calling some of our players average).

    To be fair, he wasn't helped by their lad walking past Bastian like he wasn't even there... but as soon as he faced up the run, he should have stuck with that man and let Smalling cover across (which is what he was stepping out to do)

    Just poor all round.
