Some horrible post match comments in here. Yes, we should have scored 2-3 goals first half no doubt. Second half we tired (see the fecking schedule) and a draw was a fair result in the end. We still remain 9 games unbeaten and when the feck did a point away at the lane count as a disaster? Another 90 mins under the belt for Falcao + sub appearances for both our natural full backs and Smalling. Could have been worse, alot worse. We'll be flying after the new year.

What a horrendous end to the game. They've been happy with the draw since the hour mark.
2 up front just doesn't work

I think even the most optimistic person can now accept we won't be winning the title
Two up front would've worked if we scored one or two of the countless chances.

Poor finishing and taking our foot off the gas (probably due to fatigue) meant 0-0, not the system.

Doesn't work? We would be saying how brilliant they were if they took their chances. Making chances wasn't the problem today at all, poor finishing and fatigue in the second half. That's it. First half we battered them.

We haven't had a compatible '2' since Solskjaer and Van Nistelrooy imo

The schedulling is a fecking joke.. You could see we were done after 70mins.. And again we play the early game on Thursday.

Should had put one past them in the 1st and Mata had the chance to make up in the 2nd. Cmon Soton and Burnley

well...I think Soton will get something from the Chelsea game and W Ham definitely are in with a chance against the Arse. I'm not too disappointed. Throught we played so well for 60 mins...but the two games in 48 hours, with no alternative midfield options started to take it's toll. We won't be the only team today suffering from this....just watch. It's disbolical that the premier league have to do this...and I hope they learn from it.

Atrocious finishing for the first hour. Last half hour we were just too tired and couldn't do anything.

We're 4 points clear in 3rd despite having the injury problems we've had. Every other team that is "competing" with us for those spots have been dire. No idea why you'd be so pessimistic as we're clearly a level above the rest and have the results that show it. We'll almost definitely improve in the second half of the season as well, as we have been with each passing week.
We've played a game more than everyone. What results show that we're a level above the rest? The wins against Soton and Arsenal which we fluked, in all honesty. Those go down the drain when we can't even beat Villa, WBA, Leicester, Burnley, Sunderland who everyone else are beating.

And we haven't been improving every week. Not sure what you mean by that but people see what they wanna see.

Urgency? Hardly. We were lucky to be ahead when we were.

Anyway that's not what I meant. I meant when we're losing or drawing at the end of games, why do we knock about it casually rather than go for the win. It's all I've seen this entire season, especially away. One point in away games isn't good enough against crap teams. 6 draws against them is like 2 wins and 4 defeats.
We've been lucky to be ahead against Newcastle?
    Are you sure?

We have been playing football in the 1st half.
No, we got our chances because Tottenham made many mistakes when in possession, and we had our players high up the pitch. The recipe was still the same: pass the ball backwards to De Gea, launch the ball up in the air towards our 2,10m tall striker Falcao who dominates in the air and wins every ball, then lose the ball because Falcao isn't really 2,10m tall, in fact, he is 18cm shorter than Fazio, and Falcao loses every header.

Why didn't we actually try to pass the ball around today?

A draw a was a fair result in the end ... and the outcome I felt was the most likely before the match started. The 2nd half provided evidence for the claim that Spurs have the best fitness levels in the Prem.

Van Persie and Falcao's horrible finishing cost us the game. I am losing confidence in those 2 - they are simply not dangerous enough at the moment
O come on. One bad game. We are scoring a lot in recent time especially rvp.

We basically didn't have any fresh legs in midfield to bring on which pretty much killed it for us. We needed to win the game in the first half.

I hope the PL take notice from this. Have two teams play in less than 48 hours and that's the kind of 2nd half you are going to get.

Pretty much this. Out bench cost us more than anything today. Not having fresh legs in midfield like Herrera, Di Maria & Fellaini to come on.

It wasn't really surprising that we would tire in the 2nd half with no changes made to the starting 11. Van Gaal probably knew and that's why we really went for it in the 1st half, too bad the finishing cost us 2 more points. We didn't really have much choice than to start with the same team though, considering all the injuries. Good result considering the tight fixture schedule and injuries, but bad considering how much we outplayed them in the 1st half.

5 points from the last three games, sounds bad but if we win against Stoke it'll be 8 points in 4 which is good. Disappointing result, we should of scored yet didn't. Everyone was a bit off pace today and brilliance off pace doesn't show the same quality. Let's regroup and get a good run going against Stoke, Southampton, QPR, Leicester, West Ham, Burnley, Swansea, Sunderland, Newcastle. 20-27 points definitely attainable.

Given the amount of chances we wasted 0-0 seems disappointing but with a stretched squad and so many players out injured a point is a good result.

Players were clearly dead on their feet in the 2nd half. Why none of you can appreciate that I don't know.
They were, but unfortunately we didn't have any subs that would've added a bit of zip. The subs made sure we didn't lose, but they wouldn't have helped us win.

We've been lucky to be ahead against Newcastle?
    Are you sure?
Yeah, before we scored, it wasn't looking great. We were being cut apart easily but luckily they did feck all. We were creating nothing before Rooney scored. After that, it was easy.

At least we can now stop talking about this "tittle challenge"bullshit.

Today Mata and the team create chance after chance but Our strikes failed to deliever. Falcao was weak today. Mostly runing around and failing to do something productiv. RvP didnt finish great and no flair in any of them. That's why it went to 0-0. Plenty of chances but strikes failed to give us the lead. Frustarting but that easy. second half got ruind because they closed us down and nobody seems to be able to attack. But we should atleast had 1 goal and we didnt. I hope di Maria comes back because He gives us the extra super tempo that we needed in the second half.

Both of our strikes get 3 today. I expected a lot from them.

It seems you watched a completely different game. In the 1st half we didnt launch the ball in the air and if you saw Falcao's chance you'd see it was a Mata pass to him. not some high ball. We passed the ball in the 1st but I guess you see things differently.

Should have won it in the first half. Were just too tired in the second half. We probably wouldn't have been had we rotated. Too bad we can't cuz' of the fecking injuries. The cnuts.

Fatigue set in. Radamel and Robin aren't up for four halves of high intensity football in 48 hours, which is perfectly understandable.

Take the away point and call it a decent day at the office, even if it's a bit disappointing.

How many times did we hoof it in the second half? Great first half, terrible second and a bloody biast referee.

It's in moments like these where I want to see shades of the younger LVG making a clear and explicit point to the referee in full anger.

What I miss this season is that there is no intensity where it should be. Little things, like taking forever to take a throw in every single time we get one, taking small risks in passing a forward pass late in the game rather than the safe back pass. We just seem to be a club that settles for letting the game run it's course sticking to the usual plan rather than throwing a little caution to the wind and go for the winner.

People, supporters you know that this happens right. We played some great football in the first half and failed to score. With our success agaisnt Southampton and liverpool scoring with few shots this is what happens in a game that we should have 2 or 3 goals in the first hal so as they say it evens it out over the season. Clearly Spurs played like the home team in the second half and got the second wind which I said at ht. that this would happen but still mata should have buried the ball from 8 yards out then I'm sure we would have battered them on the break. He didn't and Spurs as the home team pressed and had some chances but they didn't deserve the point but I guess we didn't deserve the win so it's a draw. Next game
