    I wish we would just play some youngsters in positions that are needed. Do we seriously not have a CM youngster that can play next to Carrick?

    It'll be a blessing so our faces will be joyous and thanking Ajax for doing us a favour.
     
    Hope to see Rooney with a lot of interchanging with Martial on the left and Blind as well.
     
    Some naysayers will definitely appreciate the energy and industry that Herrera brings to the side with the state of our midfield.
     
    It's going to be painful watching that team I reckon.

    Mourinho knows that Rooney is finished. I guess he's just ramming the point home to the last few people left in the world who still think he deserves to start every game for us.
     
    What little importance this match had is completely gone now, with that Liverpool win. Meh.

    We can probably pinpoint when Jose started to give up on making top 4 when Rooney started making the lineup again.

    Probably trying to get Jones and Smalling up to match fitness in a meaningless game,. It doesn't really matter

    Blind is the issue, the others need game time.

    Jones and Smalling massively lacking match fitness. Judging by their performances against Arsenal, they need to get up to speed sharpish.

    Happy to see Tuanzebe play, but dismayed that Rooney starts again. Offered absolutely nothing against Arsenal. Does the U23's not have any strikers?
