Pretty sure Lingard is starting this. If there is one thing you'll get from him, it's commitment and effort.

ANOTHER international break coming up after this game? Is that the third one so far this season? Are there more qualifiers than usual this time around?
No, it's the same every season: one two-week break in September, then another in October, and then finally November. But after this one then we have a clear run until around February/March time, so that's something at least.

    3 away goals?
Here's a question: When was the last time we scored 3 or more, in an away game?
First game of the season against Bournemouth. Actually not even that, a 3-1 win against Northampton Town in the League Cup.

I see so much soul searching going on around here at the moment. The doom is everywhere. But I honestly think we're going to absolutely batter someone soon. Sooner or later the talent will click, it may not last for long of course, but a good team will get a real thrashing from us soon.

    2-1 to Swansea.

    Nice.
You were building up my hopes and then BOOOOOMMMMM....

    So in the EPL: 14/08
    In the League Cup: 21/09
In both those games though, we never played a EL game midweek.
Everytime we play a EL game midweek, the following EPL away game results have been:
    3-1 loss to Watford
    4-0 loss to CFC
    ?-? xxx to Swansea City.

If we get a win today, it will be the first time under Jose that we won an away game, following a midweek EL game.
Swansea have to be favourites for this match. In fact, if I were a Swansea player, I'd be gutted if I didn't get 3 points from this.

I predict a boring, terrible draw, because I'm a terribly negative person.

Absolute hyperbole. United will always be one of the biggest games of any team's season - no matter what form United are in. Swansea might fancy getting a result given our current shambolic state but thinking they are fully expecting a result is nonsense.

I know we're bad at the moment, but Swansea have only won one game in the Premier League all season and that was on opening day in August. If we don't win this, we might as well give up on achieving top four

    Is it hyperbole?

I'd say most sides in the league would be upset at not coming away with a home win against 8th in the league.

But Swansea won't be saying 'Here come the team in 8th place' will they?

    It's United. Yes, it's hyperbole.

Yes, it's United. A massive global team. But still a team that's come 7th, 4th and 5th in the last 3 seasons, a team that are currently 8th, a team that hasn't won a league game in their last 4 and a team that hasn't scored a goal in their last 3 league games.

We're absolutely there for the taking.

The BBC have just put up a huge fergie article going through the highs and lows of his time in charge. I'm refusing to read it unless we secure a good result in this game because otherwise its playing with fire.

Is it just me or is the lineup reveal a bit late today? Bricking it now for some reason :nervous:

Just about to arrive in Swansea, several beers down and can't wait for the match now.

Need a win by huge margin today to take off some pressure. We're due such a result.

Many teams will think this, Swansea don't have any right to be one of them right now. We have one win in our last four? Their last win was on the first day of the season.

    Parlour predicts United win
Ray Parlour is predicting some happy Reds this evening.

I’ve gone for a Manchester United win here. I think they’ll bounce back,” Parlour told the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast.

“I think they were unlucky against Burnley. They should have had a penalty. Manchester United will be too strong. I’ve gone 3-1 Manchester United.”

    I've always like Ray Parlour.
