That was Soton's first shot on target if I'm correct, definitely don't think we deserve to be losing. Crappy deflection and a potential foul not called and it would still be level.

Matic is hiding. Fred is playing alone in midfield.Fred and AWB are just so poor on the ball. Such mediocrity in the buildup , with matics age adding to it, are what lead to the pressure that then lead to the goal. We don't have the control that top teams do because our midfield is bang average.
We can live being down a player. But having that player actively playing for the opponent is a double whammy.
I'm interested to hear why McTom is only fit for the bench, and where Donny will play if not in a midfield two.
Generally I would say a shit first ten or so minutes, then we controlled the match only for a goal against the run of play. Saying that we haven't threatened enough and there are clear deficiencies in the team when we have the ball. Our midfield in general is a problem, not just DM. We are shocking in the middle of the park.
